@itsskitime

I wasn’t born in the US, I came here by choice to be a part of this great land, I didn’t come here to change it, if you did then it’s time you left.

11-year-old boy, while restrained with arms behind his back by two Officers, directed racial slurs toward a female officer and spat on her. The officer delivered a single strike to the boy’s face. No disciplinary action was taken.

Between Legal cost and demolition it is going to be a lot of money for what - To make a point ! Demolishing an illegally built house in rural Meath is estimated to cost taxpayers up to €200,000, according to an industry source. In recent days, demolition crews ripped through the five-bedroom property in Bohermeen after a 20-year legal battle between Meath county council and the house’s owners, Chris and Rose Murray. The council took possession of the detached house last week after the married couple’s failed retention bids and appeals. However, the decision to level the property instead of retaining it for an alternative use has been widely criticised. Concerns have also been raised about the expense of the operation, including the provision of on-site security. “A demolition company could maybe make up to €200,000 on this job,” said a source at one demolition company that was not involved in the project. However, another insider suggested that the bill would be “at least €60,000 to €70,000 — and you’d have to add security costs on top of that”. The sprawling property, which included five bedrooms, two living rooms, a playroom, an office and several bathrooms, was valued at more than €1 million. The source added that he could not understand why the council would not take over the house for social uses. “Meath council could have left the house standing and fined this couple €300,000 instead, which could go back into the coffer,” he said. “All they’re left with now is a grass field.” The demolition of a home has also drawn criticism for taking place during a housing crisis. Padraig Fitzsimons, a Navan-based councillor, said families in Meath could expect to wait up to eight years for a social home in some cases. “There are about 3,000 people on the social housing list in Meath, with waiting times largely determined by the type of home best suited for them,” he said. “People with children looking for a three-bed house can sometimes wait seven or eight years, while a single person would get a smaller home considerably faster.” The Meath local authority would not give an estimate on the cost of the operation. However, it stated: “Meath county council is currently acting on foot of High Court orders in relation to the property at Faughan Hill, Bohermeen. The court has directed that the council, with the assistance of An Garda Siochana, take possession of the property and proceed with demolition in accordance with existing court orders. The council acknowledges the co-operation of those involved in this process.” There have been several legal challenges over the past two decades between the property’s owners and Meath county council, heard before the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. An order remains in place directing that the couple be brought before the High Court for breaching a previous undertaking to vacate the property. Chris and Rose Murray are due before the court on Monday to respond to contempt of court proceedings. Mrs Murray said any additional statements from them would be made through their legal team.

@StephenMather6 It might not have started out as a Genocide but the English Landlords sure used it to their advantage to rid the land of the Irish. Letting people starve to death while you export food might not be Genocide to you but to others it is. Calling it incompetence is ignorance

The Great Famine wasn’t a Genocide And you won’t find a serious historian who says that it was And it’s an urban legend that the Royal Navy exported food off the island People constantly mistake incompetence & disinterest for intent
Irish Unity 🇮🇪🇵🇸@IrishUnity

An Gorta Mór - The Great Hunger To call this period in Irish history a famine dishonours the pain and untold suffering our ancestors endured. British warships took the food of our land for profit while our people starved. It was genocide.

@dragonsrfc @thepaulwilliams That was a game you should have won. Two crazy bounces one at each end cost you 14 points, 7 against & 7 for & a lack of concentration on a missed penalty by the Stormers cost you another 7 against.

@SeanDubIreland What Judge in Ireland 🇮🇪 would side with Enoch Burke. They have already proven that they’re as corrupt as all hell. Courts in Ireland are nothing more than rubber stamps for the Government.

@john_mcguirk Ireland 🇮🇪 should have finished with Peace Keeping after Jadotville in 1961. The UN left set up the Irish soldiers to fail & then refused to help & the Irish Government weren’t much better. UNIFIL is a joke just like the rest of the UN.

This is a game that the Dragons should be winning. Unforced errors have cost them tries at both ends & the bounce of the ball has also cost them at both ends. The Stormers are living a charmed life right now. The URC is so unpredictable

@revpaulwhite Me thinks Fr. Paul is missing the point here. The Easter Egg Rage is not nonsense & Fr. Paul should be able to see the bigger picture. The bigger picture is the dimming down of Christianity while Islam is being pushed at every opportunity.

As a priest, who has celebrated Holy Communion twice today and is departing for a Cistercian monastery tomorrow, can I just say that this 'Easter Egg rage' is nonsense. If you care that much, get yourself to church, and then perhaps you will realise that our faith is not based on confectionary or its packaging.

@Nigelrefowens Amazing that anyone would go into farming today in the UK. The continuous mental stress put on you has got to take a toll in the end. I will say 100% that TB is in the wildlife & they know it & that’s the reason they aren’t testing more. I think the Government agenda is obvious

@piersmorgan World would be a much better place if people just said what they feel. Robert Mueller was supposed to be a hatchet man for the Democrats. He went after President Trump & failed. There is a lot of people that when they die the world will be a better safer place. Most are Democrats

@SkySportsNews Will UEFA be opening disciplinary proceedings against PSG for one of their off field members interfering with the match. The Ball Boy should be banned from the sideline for the rest of the year. Also I’m an in no way a Chelsea supporter. Ball Boy got what he deserved.
