@saucyfik I stated clearly the photo is meant to create a false sense of the scenarios. There is a new shopping arcade in Ariria because the whole market is being redeveloped . The wicked person left it out. I also wanted to see how flooded that side is

@Bamtefa_Adedapo @akintollgate You moron, are you aware that in Nigeria, the oldest model Nigeria Customs will issue duty on is 2016? That you can't import a 1984 car into Nigeria? Is your father driving one in Nigeria? Nigerians want to drive the latest Benz; you are showing a Benz fit for the museum.

🚗 Drove this absolute beast 7 hours straight from Tennessee to South Carolina to catch my Lagos flight this afternoon due to the sold out flights caused by the ⚽️ finals. One full tank of diesel powered the entire journey in my manual transmission 1984 Mercedes 300D. Top speed hit 95mph, but it was a smooth, jolly cruise all the way! These W123 legends just keep delivering. #ClassicCars #MercedesBenz #W123

I join the family, friends, and associates of His Excellency Rotimi Amaechi, our vice-presidential candidate in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in mourning the passing of his beloved mother, Mrs Mary Amaechi. I am told that she lived an exemplary Christian life marked by devotion to God, faithful worship, and selfless service to her community. She was a mother to all who crossed her path, and Nigeria remains deeply indebted to her memory for raising one of our outstanding statesmen and great patriots, His Excellency Rotimi Amaechi, former Governor of Rivers State and former Minister of Transportation. I pray that God grants her beautiful soul eternal rest and comforts the family, friends, and loved ones she has left behind. -AA

BREAKING NEWS Kogi Announces Successful Rescue of Kidnapped Victims in Dekina The Kogi State Government has announced the successful rescue of the four persons kidnapped during the recent attack on an unauthorized examination center in Olowa, Dekina Local Government Area of the State. The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, describing the rescue as the outcome of a coordinated security operation ordered by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo immediately after the incident. According to the Commissioner, Governor Ododo directed the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd), to coordinate a joint rescue mission involving the Nigerian Army, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, local vigilante groups and other security operatives. "Shortly after the kidnapping incident, the Governor directed the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd), to coordinate the rescue operation. The State Security Adviser and the leadership of the 12 Brigade and the 21 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, the DSS, the Police and local security operatives stormed the forest to ensure the victims were rescued. "Just this evening, while inspecting the Armoured Personnel Carriers procured by the Kogi State Government to strengthen the fight against criminality, the Governor assured newsmen that every effort was being made to secure the release of the victims. "A few hours later, the victims regained their freedom. The sustained pressure on the kidnappers and the saturation of the forest by heavily armed security personnel forced the criminals to abandon the victims and flee. "Security operatives remain in the forest and the operation is still ongoing. We are determined to ensure that none of the criminals escapes justice. Our resolve is clear: anyone who chooses the path of crime in Kogi State will face the full weight of the law. "We can confirm that the School Principal, the NECO official and the two students have all been rescued safely. They are hale and hearty and are currently with security agencies for debriefing and necessary medical checks." Fanwo commended the gallantry and professionalism of the officers and men of the Nigerian Army, the DSS, the Police, local security operatives and all other agencies involved in the rescue mission, describing their swift response as another testament to the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in the fight against insecurity. The Commissioner also expressed the appreciation of the Kogi State Government to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his steadfast support for the state's security efforts. "The President directed the heads of the security agencies to give Kogi every necessary support to rescue the victims. Today, that support has yielded the desired result. We are deeply grateful to Mr. President for standing firmly with Kogi State in our determination to protect lives and property." He reiterated that Governor Ododo's administration would not relent in its efforts to rid every part of the state of criminal elements, assuring residents that the government would continue to invest in intelligence, security logistics and inter-agency collaboration to keep Kogi safe for all. Signed: Kingsley Femi Fanwo Hon. Commissioner for Information and Communications 16th July, 2026

Results Over Noise, Clarity Over Emotions As a Nigerian entrepreneur, I’ve never had it this good with FX stability, especially given the volume of daily, weekly, and monthly foreign exchange remittances required for procurements, services or loan repayments. Stable planning now truly boosts business confidence! In the past, I often deployed what I called my “Future Currency Swap” sourcing FX from close friends or associates in diaspora at rates like ₦400/$ for $25,000 when the prevailing black market rate was around ₦415/$. This allowed me to stock up aggressively while hedging against volatility, shielding the business from nasty cost overruns. For the first few transactions, I hit a home run. The years between 2020 & 2025 it became a recurring bloodbath where I hemorrhaged losses! Number of times I have gone into group therapy with fellow entrepreneurs in Nigeria to get filled with encouraging words not to quit, became countless. I always give a shout out to my big egbon Senator Ben Bruce @benmurraybruce for giving me a lecture in business perseverance, product pricing & FX strategies. In one transaction, the rate ballooned from ₦602/$ to ₦764/$ in just 45 days. What started as an ₦18m Naira remittance requirement suddenly became ₦22.9m, a ₦3m+ shortfall before the goods even landed in Nigeria. This was the recurring nightmare for many small and medium-sized business owners. Those are the real stories that hit my bottom line. That extra ₦3m could mean delayed salaries, cut marketing budgets, or strained relationships with employees and vendors. Today as I drive into a business meeting in New York this morning to sign another invoice, my blood pressure level is at ease. Spreadsheets do not show red columns like they used to and for this, I feel very encouraged with the economic outcomes. Nigeria Forward 🇳🇬💚 #entreprenuerng #smallbusinessng
