@GermanderCC I learned to crochet 5 years ago and picked it up quite easily once I found a good left handed video to follow. I've tried to learn knitting a few times with limited success. I find knitting harder than crochet but I'm determined to get the hang of it eventually
@firstdorset in the new timetables why is there no longer a Sunday service between Axminster and Bridport on X53/X51? The route appears to start/end in Lyme Regis meaning that Bridport is now cut off from Axminster train station on Sundays.
“Reports are coming in of other queues breaking out around the country, Prime Minister. Our boffins calculate that, at this rate, the country will be made entirely of queue within 72 hours”
@Pingosaurus I'm currently crocheting my first cardigan, I'm around 20% of the way through and it's taken approx 10 hours to get that far. The yarn cost £33 and if I were to factor in my time spent then it's a very expensive garment.
I know it’s been said before but if you find crocheted items on fast fashion websites these HAVE to have been made by hand as crochet can’t be mechanised. They’re unlikely to have been remotely ethically produced.
@firstdorset is the 7.25am X51 from Bridport to Weymouth running tomorrow? Unsure as it's not showing in journey planner and is marked as sch on revised timetable. Need to know if I have to get earlier bus to get to work. Thanks
New career as a test analyst starts tomorrow and I'm trying to channel my nervous energy into excitement. I've struggled badly with imposter syndrome in the past but trying to keep reminding myself that I am worthy of this.
Notice given at current job and contract signed for new job. Looks like I'm starting my IT career in January 😀 I'll be working as a test analyst and I'm really looking forward to it
I had a feeling yesterday's interview went well but I wasn't sure, turns out I was right and I've now got a second interview scheduled. Fingers crossed this ends up being the right job for me
Anyone else get mentally wiped out by job interviews? I hate talking about myself and responding to questions on the spot, maybe it's an introvert thing or maybe an anxiety thing, either way it's not fun
I've got the computer science section of my bootcamp and I've been learning about complexity and big-O notation. It's really complicated and my brain is melting.
I haven't coded for months for various reasons but this week I'm back at my keyboard. I was fortunate enough to secure a place on fully funded python bootcamp and I'm determined to make the most of this opportunity.
