@SiteGround 2 out of 3 sites are online now - very slow but assume overclocking on resources to transfer data. I also checked and it looks like I have a backup restore site missing 1 days data. That's fine for my sites but others not so much... Also lost all backup history in sitetools.
UPDATE: The severity of the incident with our London DC has escalated and several hours ago we started our disaster recovery procedure. We are now restoring servers from offsite backups in our Amsterdam location and gradually putting them back online.
@notsimonhill@SiteGround Just seen 2 of the 3 sites are online - bit messed up with the SSL but will resolve fairly quickly, slow site speed but assume this is the overclocking they are doing to transfer the data.
In a critical moment like this, we rely on a solid disaster recovery procedure and distributed offsite backups, which now allow us to take control of the situation and not wait on @GCP for resolution.
@SiteGround This isn’t good enough. I thought cloud servers were supposed to automatically change when error occurs. What other hosts is everyone looking at instead of @SiteGround
UPDATE: The majority of the impact has been mitigated, yet some customers may still see failure with their service until this incident is fully resolved. Our teams continue to work closely with Google engineers and more updates are to follow.
UPDATE: We are fully committed to resolving the few remaining connectivity issues. Services are now almost at 100%. Still, we will continue monitoring the situation and provide you with the latest updates on the matter.
@SiteGround We are still down. Please help. It couldn’t have happened on a worse night as we have a very important news petition running. Any idea on timing?
UPDATE: We are still doing our best to resolve the issue on the few remaining servers.
We are in constant communication with our upstream provider and we have their assurance that the issue on their end will be resolved as soon as possible.
