@ahlawat_neha Love your work. Any chance we could get *just the CustomObject* aspect of the metadata api to support wildcards? so that sf project retrieve start -m CustomObject would pull both custom and standard objects?

@jamonholmgren I think I remember seeing a library for AWS serverless that utilized s3 that way.

Just curious, don’t have a use case for this (yet), but are there any serverless providers who have something like a virtual file system that is synchronized across instances?

@RedQueenCoder … we tried like … 7 of the meal kits. We almost always got rotten produce.

I don’t understand why meal kits never really took off. You get a cute little bundle of ingredients and a friendly card with lots of pictures showing you how to prep them. At the end you get food. It makes a mundane task feel like a fun activity.

I’ve done well for myself through the years. I’ve never been plagued by the blight that is Microsoft anything beyond powerpoint. What is this ‘viva engage’ and why does all the verbiage and marketing make it sound like a cult?

@codefriar @nakrashraddha Yup, it's a fair request. To be honest it led into a good discussion on wildcards with my team's lead today after reading your post 🙂

@ahlawat_neha @nakrashraddha Yeah, I’m not calling it a bug. I’m just hoping that after 60 some odd versions of the metadata api, we can find a way to make the metadata api honor wildcards for objects.

@codefriar It does as per doc developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-… but its limited to field sets and record types. Looks like you want using a * in manifest to retrieve all your customizations (even for standard objects) in the same request. Tagging @nakrashraddha, the PM for custom/standard objects.
