The inbound transfer of IBC assets to @SeiNetwork has been disabled, following a community proposal.
Any wallets still holding IBC assets on the Sei Network need to bridge those tokens before outbound IBC transfers are also disabled.

The Sei protocol was upgraded to v6.4 this week. It included the mechanism that allows the transfer of IBC assets to be disabled. Wallets holding these assets may have received airdrops with a reminder to bridge or swap before the Sei protocol becomes EVM-only. Links below:

'Mini' Shai-Hulud has hit: - OpenSearch - Mistral AI - Guardrails AI -UiPath - Squawk packages across npm and PyPI The malware specifically targets AI developer tooling. It hooks into Claude Code (.claude/settings.json) and VS Code (.vscode/tasks.json) to re-execute on every tool event, long after the infected package is gone. npm uninstall does not fix this.

I grew up on Pokemon as did many generations by now and it still somehow remains cool. 20 years from now these kids will want the cards from their youth just as I want mine.
Why OP? What will create that nostalgia?

My dad (who is almost 70) and still can’t use a computer knows Pokemon. As does my two year old niece
To have something so universally cool in the US is unheard of

We’ve been hearing from many people that they are unable to trade their NFTs. On SEI, wallets and NFT marketplaces seem to have shut down. At this point, we don’t know whether SEI is still interested in NFTs, and we haven’t been able to reach them yet.
If we get the opportunity to speak with someone from the team, we will let them know that we still want to continue building on SEI. Not only as an NFT collection, but we can also build other dApps that SEI may need.
We’re also seeing a lot of comments suggesting that we should move to ETH or other chains. We will make a decision about all of this after speaking with the SEI Foundation.

@dobxbt @Sei_Labs Yeah we’re aligned on that for sure. Sei needs to be cool again…
Last time around we were so crippled by Cosmos though. That was actually a very heavy burden and risk for both native teams and integrations.
I think that next time we will have real advantages, not limitations.

Yeah I get that, and I actually respect that approach a lot. Building the infrastructure matters more long term than chasing short term hype.
I just think in crypto, even great tech needs a narrative and strong distribution before people truly pay attention. A lot of projects with weaker tech managed to outperform simply because they controlled attention better.
And I agree — real institutional adoption probably needs standards that the industry still hasn’t fully reached yet.

@dobxbt Oh I agree completely, but I don’t do marketing. I build blockchains.
But the one point I would make to that is that there are some table stakes that must be met before you can have actual usage on chain by institutions. Those haven’t been met yet, by anyone...

People don’t really care much about the technology itself, they care more about the hype and which influencers are talking about it.
Remember when Sei was around $0.8 — all the big influencers were talking about it. A lot of this is really about marketing and being able to promote your technology the right way.
