I just spoke again with the Flotilla, incl its Comm Room in Catania All looks calm and safe now. Speedboats watching; but the flotilla continues its sailing. It will be a long night. And as they say and we say, "we are together".

BREAKING!!! - 11:18PM UK time; I am with the flotilla online. They have just been reached by the Israel speedboats - 5 vessels circling the flotilla. The captain is instructing the team to stay calm and seated, with their passports and life jackets on. I hear them speaking with Israeli soldiers as I type... telling they are carrying humanitarian aid and go in peace. For the time being they are just circled. I am with them, recording everything.

May I suggest you call Keir Starmer and Benjamin Netanyahu: 1.) The #Madleen is registered in the UK and flying the flag of the UK. The UK is therefore legally obligated to protect the ship. 2.) The UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), grants universal jurisdiction for acts of Piracy, allowing any state to intervene.

Deeply sad to hear of the passing of Val Kilmer, an actor who turned out some stunning performances in some of the great films. Hugely recommend his documentary "Val" which takes you on a beautiful journey through his life and thoughts.

Once you realize all our foods, even unprocessed, are laced with a plastic and pfas then you realize the problem is way way bigger than ultra processed food which is the easiest lowest hanging fruit

Once you realize how certain foods are designed to make you ingest more of them via gut-to-brain (unconscious) dopamine signaling you will see how they literally control you from the inside. We are an obese, not a lazy country. Knowledge on this = power.

@CriticalSerf @skyemaidstone @ClimateJoe As I say, it's a highly complex topic which "deniers" (for want of a better word) constantly oversimplify to try and win debates on social media. The temperature is rising very quickly, the results are chaotic and often unpredictable, only fools support ignoring such things.

@CriticalSerf @skyemaidstone @ClimateJoe ...Has the poster calculated other sources of ice melt (Antarctica etc)? Does he know how much ice melt = how much sea level rise? Has he considered that every extra cm raises risks of temporary flooding? Armchair gotchas like this dramatically oversimplify things.
