Yet, as I write in my @Corriere della Sera story today, families in #Japan are now forced to cut A/C expenses because the cost of living is too high 🤦🏻♀️
The Japan Times@japantimes
Dangerously high temperatures in Japan have sent more than 10,000 people to hospitals for heatstroke in a single week, more than double the same period last year. ebx.sh/F5lgLe

@ebibebibae But it’s a great time for a US major company to have say a locally hired Japan-based HR director in their Tokyo office.

Stuart Nash breached the Cabinet Manual as an MP — twice. His comments about women already cost him the Robert Walters gig. Now even worse remarks have killed his NZ First candidacy. Absolute bugger for punishment. 🇳🇿 🤷♂️

@yehuda_feldmann The last mile delivery is in a tea cup with a saucer right?

@JamesHalcrow Isn’t the whole grand idea that car users park their cars out in the yonder and use the railway to the CBD? Of the entire railway network, the “CRL” bit is the part designed to not have a car interface.

@Jforthealpha8 @nikitabier I’m stretching my memory more than anything. I’m talking probably a decade or more ago. Let’s say I have a vibe there used to be three as opposed to a concrete memory.

Interesting feedback. I’ve been asking Grok for a while if they would ever add another one. I’ve only been on social media for the last year and a half. It’s my first platform. When you say olden days did they used to do this and why did they get rid of it? I wanted to ask for three, but I thought it would be better asking for two.
English

@nikitabier Bigger picture idea: what’s stopping a social media platform having different apps in the App Store. 𝕏 but in different flavors. Users have apps to choose from and they can pick the one which best suits them. It must be hard to accommodate everyone’s desires in single app.

@nikitabier Can you double the character limit for the bio text field? Public officials especially can’t even fit the legally required info in there let alone biographical info.
English

@Jforthealpha8 @nikitabier I’m sure in the old olden days you could pin up to three.
English

@nikitabier I think it would be pretty cool if they were two pins instead of one so you could keep a second piece of content up top. Is this something that could be done? Or is there already a reason there is only one?

@KilianMuster Despite “feels” it is actually derived from a formula combining heat and humidity. Perhaps they should change the name to imply more objective than subjective.
English

It just feels unnecessarily manipulative that it's always the higher "feels like" temperature, wich is also arbitrary, because how a temperature feels like depends very much on the individual. I as a German will perceive that temperature and humidity very differently from, say an Indian from Mumbai.
English

@colecameron Also interesting how they always show the "feels like" temperature. Yes it's hot, but last year was definitely worse so far.
