@POLESPLSEAT3 @Da_Bear_Claw18 To be fair, Carter killed his teammate while drag racing and fled the scene, so he wasn’t on their board and probably several other teams. Darnell Wright has been a good player, so the issue is more missing on 3rds and Smith trade for C***pool. But agreed, woods is fantastic.

@MitchSchwartz71 You can get good Edge guy and WR later in this class, but if Maui falls to 9, it’s hard to pass that up. Going Edge and WR in the first hasn’t always worked for the Chiefs because those positions aren’t the best available. Now, if Bain were to fall, that’s a slam dunk at 9.

I agree. At some point it’s kinda ridiculous when there’s such huge deficiencies elsewhere. So then you’d have (former) highest paid at C and RG, 1st round LT, 1st round RT, 2nd round LG, and highest paid backup OT. And a DL that can’t pressure the QB and WRs that don’t get open
Michael Serge@MJSerge

@MitchSchwartz71 The sportsbook has KC first pick at like +250 now taking RT. Like +275 for Dline. Corner +300 and WR +325. I don't see how you watch this team and think chiefs take a tackle with their first pick.

Retweet if the @NFL and @nflcommish made a mistake not giving the Bears compensatory picks for losing Ian Cunningham.

For years now, the great debate in tackling technique has been whether using the Near Shoulder is as effective as using the head across. The results are in. Not only is it as effective, but it is more effective. When players use their Near Shoulder, they experience better performance. More made tackles, more effective tackles, and allow fewer yards after contact. Ultimately, if you use your shoulder, whether it be near shoulder or far shoulder (head across), you will be an effective tackler. But if you are looking for that 1% edge, Near Shoulder is the method to use. All data per Atavus Tacklytics data #tacklingtechnique #howtoteachtackling #footballanalytics

Got some great context about Jacob Rodriguez's missed tackle rate (16.5%) from our scouts at @SumerSports. First, they agree with what @sambruchhaus suggested on the "SumerSports Show": that they're similar to what ppl in the league refer to as "Budda tackles". Budda Baker, as Sam said, "misses tackles that no one else would even be around the ball for." Our scouts think this is true for Rodriguez, whose "motor" is a strength. More context: often, his misses "forced the ball carrier back into pursuit or help and the tackle was made with minimal to no more yardage." They think he's probably still developing his technique, but that- and this is important- he's not missing because he's afraid of contact. That's hard to fix. This isn't. They added they'd rather have a guy they have to reign in, as opposed to a guy they have to pull it out of. As always, numbers need context.

Jacob Rodriguez is one of @sambruchhaus' Top 6 Value guys in the draft. But his missed tackle rate was high. (16.5%) Our conversation about what to make of that # was prob my fave part of this week's @SumerSports Show. ▶️youtu.be/A8_L4HHcWe4?si…

A new episode of Bootleg Football just dropped: 1. Is this class actually bad, or just overlooked? 2. What does the Waddle trade mean? 3. The value of Pro Days 4. The football world is actually just sales

@PlutoCooked Chase sat out for a year and still went higher than Smith in the draft. No shade to Smith but this isn't a conversation.

The difference between David Bailey and Arvell Reese is found in the details and the all-around game. There's only one EDGE choice for the New York #Jets at No. 2.
