i considered making skrumpeys *fully* on-chain before we minted them, but it was kinda a pain in the ass for what's it worth and the 3 people that would care about it. its like a technical thing i would find very cool but at the same time it wouldve cost a lot (!) of time, effort, and potential hiccups (lot of things that could go wrong). which is why i went with IPFS afterall another funny thing is that roughly 1 week before mint i considered literally animating the entire collection (all traits), but then i ended up just keeping the galaxy background animated. i experimented for roughly a day animating every single trait, it looked solid, yet i thought it would be overwhelming and take the simple approach/aesthetic away from skrumpeys. also given i had like a few days left until monad mainnet launch, it was just a stressful event on its own to suddenly steer away from my initial idea & plan. galaxy background wouldn't be as rare as it is today if everything else was also moving. still considering ways, there's always room for improvement heres a sneakpeak what it wouldve looked like (was far from finished as i was basically speedrunning the whole thing)
