@markofagenius Oh god this post has drawn the right wing nutters out of their holes hasn't it? I quite agree with you - I am very pessimistic too , what with no action (virtually) to slow down climate change, the rise of the right and the ever increasing power of billionaires etc. etc.

I was 72 years old on Tuesday, I have never felt more pessimistic about the future of the world. The relentless rise of the right scares me rigid. Am I alone?
