Asking an llm to steel man an argument you don’t believe in produces a much more useful and persuasive text than any person on twitter who advocates for the position in question

Finally updated my personal website — the old one was embarrassingly out of date. If you've ever wondered what I actually do for work, now there's a place to find out. I'm planning to write there occasionally about topics like AI, VFX, computer animation, digital content creation, and technology leadership. Take a peek and subscribe if that sounds useful. Thanks in advance. mattcollie.com

Created an agent skill called “Visual Explainer” + set of complementary slash commands aimed to reduce my cognitive debt so the agent can explain complex things as rich HTML pages. The skill includes reference templates and a CSS pattern library so output stays consistently well-designed. Much easier for me to digest than squinting at walls of terminal text. github.com/nicobailon/vis…

I bought a Mac mini specifically for my @openclaw instance. I set up a dedicated iCloud account, corporate Google Workspace account, and GitLab profile for it. Gave it access to a paid Claude Code subscription. Installed Tailscale VPN on the Mac mini, my MacBook, and my iPhone. Created a skill for it to code via Claude Code and commit every project to its own GitLab repository. Also created a skill for working with Google Drive documents and sending me emails. VPN allows me to access its local projects from both my phone and MacBook. The first app OpenClaw is building is a Todo system with projects, tasks, comments, and statuses – not for managing my time, but for managing "OpenClaw" tasks. The app is built as a PWA, so it can be installed on mobile device and works whenever VPN is enabled on my phone. Every 3 minutes it checks the todo list and starts working through tasks in order. Upon completion, it provides a brief summary along with relevant links or a link to the Google Document.

@victormustar it has 2 dependencies though that are not MIT licensed. They are using Nvidia Source Code Licence which means this can't be used for commercial projects.

Fuck it. I’m dropping my full Deep Researcher Mega Prompt for free. It turns ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity into a real research analyst: → Structured insights → Market breakdowns → Competitor analysis → Multi-layer reasoning Comment “Research” and I’ll DM you the file. (Must be following me to receive it)

In the United States, there is a traffic fatality roughly every 79 million miles. Tesla FSD has now traveled 6.4 billion miles. Assuming it was no more or less safe than driving manually, you would expect there to be 81 fatalities with FSD on. As a matter of fact, with 14 million miles traveled every day you would expect to see a fatality with FSD on every 5 days. But that's not happening. As far as I can tell there are only ~2 reported fatalities with FSD active — both on much older versions. I'm forced to conclude that there are at least ~75 people who are alive today because of the work of the @Tesla_AI team. And we're just getting started. To give you a visual on that, if you put everyone in North America who is alive today because of FSD in a room together it would look like this:

I wonder how many wars in our history were caused simply by misunderstandings due to limited effective communication options over large geographic distances and lack of universal language?

It doesn't matter what your politics, views or ideologies are. What happened to Charlie Kirk is absolutely fucking horrific, inexcusable and disgusting.

In this video, we'll be walking you through the new MCP Server Tool, introduced in Griptape version 1.8, which brings powerful interoperability between Griptape and external MCP (Modular Communication Protocol) servers. 💡 What is it? The MCP Server Tool enables seamless integration of any MCP server into your Griptape structures, serving as a standard tool that automatically translates MCP-native data types into Griptape artifacts, including text, images, and JSON. 🧪 In this demo, you'll see: ✅ Using the MCP Everything server to perform real operations (math, image retrieval, JSON reading) 🔄 Automatic conversion of responses into Griptape artifacts 🌍 Support for multiple transport layers: • Standard I/O • Streamable HTTP • WebSockets and Server-Sent Events as extensions 🎯 Why it matters: This tool unlocks endless integration possibilities with the extensive ecosystem of MCP servers available across the web, providing your AI workflows with real-time, modular communication power without reinventing the wheel. 🚀 What you can build: - Lightweight, plug-and-play integrations - Toolchains using external services via MCP - Dynamic workflows with multi-protocol communication 📌 Ready to explore? Start using the MCP tool today in your Griptape projects and expand what your agents can do.

A few more tests, this time from the back yard combining some basic Nuke masking with mask sampling and inpt. The idea is to provide a basic growth mask as a guide, then the mask sampler expands the mask to the size of the projected latent output giving a bit of wriggle room.
