The Steelers haven’t won a single playoff game in nearly a decade, yet again have just one good WR, and are now counting on a 41-year-old QB to decide he wants to play football and save them. Sorry if I’m doubting the “plan” at the moment.

Life update

@KevinAdams26 Haven’t heard much from them since I did some of my own digging. Don’t you worry, there’s more where that all came from. So if I were to give any of them advice, politely stand down and give up.

I think his message is going stale and he’s already losing the locker room. If I’m the Lions, I’m listening to trade offers for him. He doesn’t even have a solid coaching tree.

@BWall I think the fact we feel like we have to ‘overachieve’ with a subpar QB is due to the roster our current head coach has constructed and that he has decided to spend $130 mil on defense. So until he is gone, nothing will change offensively.

I admit, I’m still not confident that Fields is the answer just yet (I worry about accuracy issues), but I’m willing to roll with him for 2025 right now (barring some other drastic unforeseen trade), as I feel like he’s our best current option and has the highest ceiling. Hoping his athleticism makes up for where he struggles. We tried it with Russ and it didn’t work, no need to try again at this point imo. Wouldn’t mind him in a backup role haha. Feel like Fields would be cheaper too. Honestly, I think we’d still be asking the team to overachieve with Fields at the helm though unfortunately. Just still don’t see this team being where we want them to be with this current roster/QB situation compared to the other AFC contenders. What do yinz think? #HereWeGo
