The expulsion resolutions cannot be paired, I’m told, so Luna is going to lead the Swalwell one and Fernández the Gonzales one.
The plan is to offer them on Tuesday (the first day back this week) with the aim of having a vote on Wednesday.

As I’ve said, Gonzales and Swalwell are not fit to serve in Congress given their sexual transgressions against women who work for them. They should resign or be expelled. There’s already been a resolution announced to expel Swalwell that I will support. I will introduce a resolution to expel Rep. Gonzales.

So assuming Eric Swalwell no longer has a shot at winning, the top candidates for the gov of California are
1) Tom Steyer who is an out of touch billionaire
2) Katie Porter who is an unhinged weirdo who abuses her staff
Tom Steyer has been the only one willing to criticize Israel so I do have some hope he could become more progressive over time but still the choices aren’t great.

If it's individual, the order could cause an issue unless both sides are fully committed to a strong bipartisan expulsion agreement, and actually put politics to the side for once.
