the deal netted Dallas Mikko Rantanen, so there won’t be much second-guessing, and understandably so. But man, from an on-ice and off-ice perspective, there wouldn’t be a single player on the Stars that would have been easier for fans to root for.

@lol_ur_crazy @zko1014 @joosshyb @NHLPlayerSafety I’m with you but I don’t know th rules that well but I don’t think there would of been a suspension because there wasn’t a penalty called on the play. As far as cross checking to the head if that makes sense

@combatcoIdcuts @joosshyb @NHLPlayerSafety I don’t know the exact reason but I would hope they fine players for their actions and not just based on their salary. Especially when that $2500 which is .0003% of their salary. My guess is that Benn’s is less because he wasn’t penalized on the ice

Dallas literally lost a series because of cheap shot cross checks to dudes heads. Also not scoring on 5 on 5 but mostly cheap shot cross checks.

Pathetic. Truly pathetic. Edmonton is going to lose this series and it’s because of the refs and unlucky bounces. The officiating has been truly awful. I’m not excusing the teams lack of effort btw, Knoblauch needs to be fired
