It’s is a really dark day when a talk about the history of ancient Israel and Judah is cancelled by the British Museum because of ‘security concerns’. Is this what we do now? We cave in?

Let's talk about this. The conference where the answer to the question of "what kind of community/Ummah/world do you want to help build?" is "Jew Free" should raise alarms. But it doesn't anymore. Canada has moved beyond hiding antisemitism behind words like antizionism because people feel safe displaying their hate. So how did we get here? I would argue that we got here by hateful people testing the limits and finding out that there are none. If we are to bring society back to the place where the 98% of the population who are decent set the tone for the 2% of the population who are not, we must start calling out this type of hate and dealing with it as a unified Canadian community. We can stop this, but we have to do it together.
