When a crypto VC publishes a 50-page deep dive on electricity flexibility, it tells you something about where the market is heading. @KaiSiefert was happy to share what we've learned building Combinder. Core finding: distributed flexibility can cut grid costs by 30–40% vs. new infrastructure. BTW, not theory but what we actually see in countries like Austria.

Seems like I am holding 25% of our Dutch supply! 😅 1. You ought to re-feed this image into AI and have it clear up the numbering (Romania & Sweden showing up twice), while Sweden's second time could have been Spain? 2. Total device count on portal is 1734, while total tally here is 327. Is 80% of the total device number truly that scattered around the globe, or is there some issue with these numbers?

@AlexFinn Optimize inference loads to dynamic power prices and energy will be nearly free too. Once you have 10+ studios you could even think about helping to stabilize the grid, hahaa.

If you have your OpenClaw working 24/7 using frontier models like Opus, you're easily burning $300 a day. That's $100,000 a year. I have 3 Mac Studios and a DGX Spark running 4 high end local models (Nemotron 3, Qwen 3.5, Kimi K2.5, MiniMax2.5). They're chugging 24/7/365. I spent a third of that yearly cost to buy these computers I'll be able to use them for years for free On top of that they're completely private, secure, and personalized. Not a single prompt goes to a cloud server that can be read by an employee or used to train another model I hope this makes it painfully obvious why local is the future for AI agents. And why America needs to enter the local AI race.

2006, 2009, 2022, 2026 We all know what’s coming… …800 page reports from expert committees stating the necessity to become independent from fossil imports from geopolitically sensitive regions. 6 months later everything forgotten. For decades, we have handed over responsibility for our energy supply to “the state” with the attitude that energy is unimportant because it is so cheap and always available. It's wild how quickly people forget. The uncomfortable truth: energy independence won’t be delivered by your government. If it matters to you, you have to take care of it yourself. The tools exist cheaply and abundantly but they won’t fly into your home in their own.
