My thesis is that the fandom is increasingly becoming toxic to women which is impacting ticket sales.
I think Spider-Man and DP v W are standouts because women like the leads.
Upcoming Avengers films have to compete with the PREVIOUS Avengers films — Not Project Hail Mary.
& I don’t think and of the upcoming Avengers movie will pull End Game numbers.

I’m sure people will disagree with me but I think The Devil Wears Prada & Project Hail Mary are both doing so well compared to capeshit not only because audiences are tired of superhero movies, but also because Star Wars, Marvel and DC fandoms have been working overtime to alienate women and the studios are letting them. Women like going to movies.

@comicaccuracy Yeah, so I know what I’m talking about when it comes to this fandom. I’ve been going to the MCU movies since Iron Man in 08 & it’s insane to think the fandom hasn’t become increasingly unwelcoming to women.

Mashing the button like this is genuinely fun. Like this is literally just innocent fun, mashing a button during a cutscene and being obnoxious in a game because you can.
I'd have no issue with this if the game weren't being pushed as a 10/10 masterpiece, I don't think anyone would have an issue with this. Anyone not into it would just see it and say "eh, not my thing." and move on.

Backrooms is going to have a bigger opening at the box office than Masters of the Universe.
Why??
Because Gen Z does not give two craps about He-Man, while Backrooms is insanely relevant due to its viral popularity and impact with a younger generation.
Studios have got to start leaving 80s nostalgia behind and commit to creating stories that Gen Z will actually connect with.
