🇯🇵 Recently, I see lots of anti-Japanese posts from Africans. This is Japan in the 1960s... only 20 years after World War II was over. We built this. You were never hit with any nuclear weapons and yet you built nothing. Why?

This scene portraying an unfeeling narcissist devoid of any trace of humanity, soul, or maternal instinct is an accidental masterclass in the chilling, hollowness of modern women who routinely end the lives of their own children,

SCOOP In an unearthed video, Senator Cornyn’s team forgot to delete a video from YouTube where Cornyn advocates for amnesty for illegal aliens. It would be a shame if every Republican in Texas sees this before the May 26th runoff. No amnesty!

@McFranchisee @powerfred3k So are you investing more money into your franchise then other franchises. As other McDonald's seem like their machines especially the ice cream machine break down quite a bit.

@powerfred3k Actually, these machines are pretty robust. The new ones were having some blender issues, but they seem to have gotten those figured out.

People ask me what’s the difference between McD and Burger King. I’ll give you an example: When we rolled out frappes, we bought a $15k self-contained machine that made each frappe/smoothie and self-cleaned after each use. It’s an impressive machine. A month later, I walked into a BK that had rolled out their frappe. They had a $25 residential blender on the counter and then proceeded to eye-measure a mixture out of a carton, a scoop of ice, and pressed blend. That’s the difference between McD and BK. No need to explain further.
McFranchisee@McFranchisee

The best thing about this new beverage trend, @McDonalds already had the necessary & essential components for this type of launch. McD has the world’s best drinks already, with under $10k in smallwares and a handful of new beverage SKU’s - we are adding a new line of business in the hottest trend in our current footprint.

One of the reasons young men are so ignorant of important history is that people who post the actual words of Hitler on YouTube (in this case Mein Kampf) get their content removed but if you post a 2 hour lying diatribe doing gymnastics to defend Nazi Germany your video is just fine

I was raised Roman Catholic for the first nineteen years of my life, and I have lived as a Protestant for the past fifty-three. Over that time, I have served as a layman, as a deacon, and now as a pastor within Baptist churches shaped by Evangelical Reformed theology. For that reason, the version of Protestantism described by many Catholics on X does not correspond to anything I have known in doctrine or in practice. Protestants do not approach baptism casually, as if it were something to be repeated at will. Scripture speaks clearly of “one Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Eph 4:5). Baptism marks entry into the covenant community as a public profession of faith, grounded in union with Christ in his death and resurrection (Rom 6:3–4). It is not a ritual to be multiplied, but a once-for-all sign of that union. In the same way, Protestants take marriage with full seriousness as a covenant before God. From the beginning, “a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Gen 2:24; cf. Matt 19:4–6). What God has joined together is not to be treated lightly or dissolved according to preference. Our teaching and pastoral practice aim to uphold that lifelong covenant, even as we carefully work through the difficult pastoral cases addressed in passages such as Matt 19 and 1 Cor 7. Protestants also do not understand the church as a building. Scripture consistently speaks of the church as the gathered people of God: “you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house” (1 Pet 2:5). The church is the assembly (ekklēsia) of those called out and joined together in Christ (Heb 10:24–25), who meet regularly for worship, for the preaching of the Word (2 Tim 4:2), for prayer, and for mutual encouragement as we persevere in faith. With respect to the Lord’s Supper, Protestants do not treat it as a mere symbol devoid of spiritual reality. It is an ordinance instituted by Christ—“Do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19; 1 Cor 11:24–25)—in which we proclaim his death until he comes (1 Cor 11:26). In that act, we look back to the cross, we examine ourselves in the present (1 Cor 11:28), and we look forward to the marriage supper of the Lamb (Rev 19:9). And while we deny any change in the elements themselves, we affirm that believers truly commune with Christ by the Spirit. As Paul writes, “The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ?” (1 Cor 10:16). The presence we experience is not physical, but it is real—mediated by the Holy Spirit and received by faith. I could continue, but the point is straightforward. The Protestantism I see described by Catholics is not one I recognize from Scripture, from church history, or from a lifetime within Evangelical Reformed Baptist life. It bears little resemblance to the convictions that have shaped my faith, my ministry, and the churches I have served.

Sola scriptura, communion is a symbol only, baptism is just a declaration and you can do it more than once, divorce is ok, saints can’t pray for you in heaven, the “Church” is really just the invisible body and the visible church is only man made, church is just a building, it’s on and on.

To any red states that think this can't happen to you… Less than 10 years ago, Virginia Republicans had a 64 seat majority in a 100 seat state house and 7 of the 11 congressional seats were Republican. Stop treating the current fight like it’s business as usual and start acting like it is culturally existential. Because it is.

When Republicans were in power, they had a ballot referendum to enshrine Right to Work in the Virginia constitution. They worded the ballot question like a piece of legislation, with multiple sub-sections specifying what part of the Constitution would be amended under what circumstances. The entire thing looked like it was written by lawyers, for lawyers. No one understood what it was or meant, so even the GOP's own voters voted NO. When Democrats took power, they literally said on the ballot question that their 10-1 gerrymander plan would "restore fairness". There should be a lesson for you here. One side is serious about winning at all costs, and the other side honestly doesn't care if they win or lose. They just want to make sure that they lose "legally".

Great. And? I don’t think anyone get’s smallpox anymore, and unfortunately far too many people still get the flu after the flu shot. Plus some are overly reactive/hyperimmune and get triggered by the flu shot. So, unless it can be clearly shown to markedly improve combat readiness, why mandate it?

@TheMuppetPastor It's easy to get drawn into the end times stuff, for real. Whether my personal end comes with tribulations, a random bus, or health condition, I should be living every moment as it's my last and always be "caught" living for the Lord.

I don’t buy it (or any theory that Revelation has already happened) because the stars are in the sky and the moon isn’t blood red, nor has the woke been destroyed. I think that we like to make ourselves the main character and often make too much of our own time on earth. My grandma was convinced that Jesus was returning in 1997 because of all the signs. Keep in mind she lived through WWII with multiple Antichrist like figures. My point is that we get it wrong a LOT and none of us really knows.
