People buy Gold when they fear bad events. They sell Gold when those events actually happen. Gold ripping was the warning. Now we’re seeing what the market was trying to tell us.

Sell the S&P 500 and Buy Gold Mining Stocks I think the recent correction in gold mining stocks presents a timely buying opportunity. For the reasons outlined in this research thread, I believe now is a great time for investors to consider selling their S&P 500 Index funds and buying gold mining stocks. Since February 28, when Israel and the United States began a series of missile strikes against Iran, front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures have risen 46.7%. On Thursday, CNBC ran the headline: "Gold and silver sell-off accelerates as inflation fears grip global markets." It reads like an oxymoron. Normally, one would expect new inflation fears, even from an oil shock, to be a bullish catalyst for gold and mining equities. Such fears can also be a trigger for a selloff in an overvalued large cap US equity market. That was the case on both counts from the start of the 1973 Yom Kippur War and ensuing Arab Oil Embargo, as I show in the chart below.

More evidence of Asian counties performing a LNG-to-coal fuel switch: Thailand has reactivated two coal-fired units that had been mothballed. The switch is important to put a lid on global LNG (and European gas) prices. bangkokpost.com/business/gener…

Britain produces <1% of global CO₂. China: 30%. US: 14%. India: rising fast. We’ve already cut emissions 50%+ since 1990. Now we’re paying more for energy, shutting our own gas, and relying on wind/solar which are unreliable. Even if Britain hit net zero tomorrow, global emissions barely move. Build nuclear. Use our oil & gas. Lower costs.

BREAKING: Mark Carney's government will be CUTTING 12,000 federal jobs. PSAC attacked Conservatives with endless ads during the election claiming Pierre would cut jobs—but Mark Carney ended up being the one cutting them. Where is the outrage from the Ottawa-area Liberal MPs?

#gold is about 5% away from the bottom. In fact this could even be it. US $4,300 A short term and sharp correction was eventually coming. It ran way too far from a steady trend. But if you’re bearish gold and selling all your gold stocks you’re going to miss out on a historic run to $10-$12k gold soon enough. Given how poor the small spec gold stocks reaction to the upside has been, I’m surprised their reaction to the downside is so severe given were STILL over $6000 AU gold. Nobody believes this is the new price

Will $GOLD begin to act as a safe-haven asset this week? Public debt in the US and Europe was already unsustainable before the war, so imagine what it will be like after the war with high inflation, low economic growth, and a debt level that grows uncontrollably. In a context like the one described, gold should begin a slow journey towards $6,000 per ounce

@TheApeOfGoldST 3 week Europe trip booked and paid for 3 months ago. Will be a very long time, if ever again, we vacay to the US. Vacay’ing in the US was always less expensive…affording us an annual trip however we’ve decided on bi-annual trips to anywhere other than USA.

Plan your upcoming summer vacations asap and book your tickets before they cost potentially 5x current prices because of an energy crisis in a few months. The risk is there.

Singapore is the best country in the world I like it all: 🇸🇬 Culture: Joining a 45-minute queue because "if there is a line, it must be good." 🇸🇬 People: Professional complainers who will still defend the country to the death if a tourist joins in. 🇸🇬 Hawker food: Sweating under a plastic fan to eat a $5 Michelin-starred chicken rice 🇸🇬 Safety: Using a $2,000 iPhone to reserve seat at a food court. 🇸🇬 Efficiency: Touching down at Changi and being home before the flight crew has even left the plane. Name a better country, I’ll wait

American UREA producers is probably going higher. $CF Waha hub natgas trading negatively, urea rising, CF margins grow. European LNG is probably going higher. $ANNA $ANNAW. Bidding for LNG cargoes between Asia/Europe, TTF spot is rising. Indian urea plants curtailing production 50% BUT energy consumption up 40%, urea plants risk at failure, not designed to curtail production. They probably need to shut down completely or ramp up LNG imports to keep the urea production running at 100%. No matter what, looks like urea is going higher. Natural gas everywhere but in the US looks like it's going higher as well.
