Bad systems, bad teaching, and false leadership produce measurable real-world collapse — including financial collapse.

@WillieJLabour Willie sells “for the many” while defending a machine that locked workers out of jobs, split families by pass systems, and treated dissent like contamination. The 2022 Parliament protest drew thousands, lasted 24 days, and required a battle-scale police operation to clear.

Chris Hipkins was on Q+A with Jack Tame this morning and I urge everyone who hasn't had the chance to see it, to watch it on TVNZ+. Labour are for the many, not the few and Chippy this morning stood for the kind of values that benefits everyone. He will not make the same mistakes of making promises he can't keep, he will read the budget and work to produce a platform of policies that we can implement and make meaningful change in Kiwis lives. Jacks interview highlights why so many in Labour respect Chris and believe he would be a far better Prime Minister than Christoper Luxon. Chippy pushed back on Jack's silly attacks on education funding decisions and refused to mock the jobs that Jack wanted to attack. The reason I'm with Labour is because Labour wants to work together with Māori, wants to welcome migrants and wants to build the country for everyone, which is the total opposite of what this Coalition Government stands for. Look at the appalling Māori Crown relationship that is going from bad to worse with this deplorable attack on the Treaty inside our laws and wiping the Treaty from our education! The latest Waitangi tribunal report shows just how damaged that relationship has become from these terrible policy decisions by ACT, NZ First and National which have nothing to do with working together and everything to do with pacifying the Right's reactionary and angry voter base with anti-Māori crap. The economy is turning bad because of this Government's dreadful decisions and rather than front up and admit that, this Government simply launches wars on the Treaty as a distraction. Robbing the next generation of Kiwis from having access to the Māori culture just to score political points is a pathetic move that manages to demean everyone. We are strongest when we work together as a people and as a country, pulling race baiting stunts like this to gloss over the economic damage caused by this Government is belittling even for National, ACT and NZ First

Mr Luxon's National Party has no intention of dropping the Under 16 media ban bill. It was only a process error preventing them from pursuing it, and once this is sorted, they'll be pushing forward. With a govt bill that Erica Stanford says is much stronger than the Catherine Wedd private member's version. Here are four reasons why this bill is socialism on steroids. 1) Its anti-liberty because it attacks privacy 2) its anti private property because it unfairly impacts upon the right of private companies to do business 3) It infringes on parental responsibilities. If parents don't want their children "harmed" there are a myriad of solutions available without running to govt. 4) There will undoubtedly be conditions within it that impact upon freedom of speech. This is a bill you might expect from Labour. So its no wonder National is relying on their support to push it through. Same old uniparty. Don't vote for them.

@binoffishery English isn’t a “pure” language. It’s a dockyard mutt: Norse raids, Norman French, Church Latin, reduced Germanic grammar, trade slang and empire glue. Not cathedral-German. Not precision-Latin. A battered pidgin-adjacent cargo ship with a navy.

WATCH: Immigration Minister Erica Stanford says that under Labour the immigration system lost its “social license” to operate: Firstly because of the “Residents 21 visa” under which the government gave residence to 213,000 people in 18 months - the largest residency programme in our history in such a short space of time. Secondly because they threw the floodgates open after COVID and “hit approve on everything”.
