@PfParks @MargTokar Might be worthwhile looking at some of the medical leadership in RA as well since there are significant conflicts of interest on the addictions side and clear bias towards what "evidence" is considered in the decisions being made. And this comes at a cost to taxpayers...

It would be wonderful if more information about the contracts in Recovery AB would start to trickle out... lots of rumours that backroom sole source contracts abound there too... but who knows??? Is it any wonder that the Premier won't call for a Public Inquiry???? 4/4

theglobeandmail.com/canada/article… Looks like Mr. Mraiche's fingerprints found in Recovery AB contracts/deals also: “Mr. Mraiche allegedly called “his friend J.P.,” an Alberta government insider, and put him on speakerphone...." 1/4

CoRE staff were aware ..PHNs of deceased people were turning up at the sites, indicating that an unknown proportion of people accessing the sites use fake PHNs. Although this limitation throws the entire dataset into question, it was omitted [from] study. drugdatadecoded.ca/centre-of-reco…

She should probably look at bolstering the services that keep people in hospital...lack of finances, lack of housing, lack of appropriate community based care, lack of transportation to follow-up, lack of access to treatments/medications,... And the list goes on... #CorruptCare
The Breakdown@TheBreakdownAB

More good news! Dr. Dani (not a doctor) has announced that no patient should "ever be in a hospital longer than 30 days"! Even if they're in a coma, suffering from a serious brain injury or massive burns apparently. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

@WillyGSkinner Yup. Turns out that when provinces cut safe consumption/harm reduction funding, other public services are left to deal with it.

It was standing room only in the City of Lethbridge council chambers yesterday afternoon as a motion was passed unanimously to send a letter to the Alberta government requesting them to pause implementing ADAP until proper consultation is done lethbridgeherald.com/news/lethbridg…

Isn’t it strange to have an Alberta government that is actively promoting the distrust and disenfranchisement of our friends and neighbors? I guess I’m old enough to remember when charity was considered a virtue and kindness was admired. This is a cruel government.

This is so important when discussing physician budgets. Getting paid more for doing more work does not equal a raise. As well, it's not like doctors get "1.5x" or "double" overtime for extending office hours in the community.
Parksy@PfParks

If a Family Doc works a 15 hr day to see 40 pts instead of 25, the govt's 'investment' goes up. But the doc isn't getting a raise - just doing more work for the same price per patient, while overhead - staffing, supplies, and rent - continues to climb... 3/4

1/3 This is perhaps the least transparent government in Alberta’s history—and that’s saying a lot. In law, we have a (conservative) maxim: "Justice must not only be done, but must also be seen to be done." cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…

Albertans please read this. It is the truth. Our premier is lying to us. Her government is *not* meeting with MD's to solve the problem (as they promised). And it is government that has refused to meet. MD's are begging for help. This gov needs to be accountable.
Parksy@PfParks

x.com/TheBreakdownAB… WOWZER folks… this is some Grade A Bullshit… Shall we put some facts out there? 1 - Premier has it reversed - the Section of Emergency Medicine (SEM) “hoped govt would work with us to get these positions in place”. They haven’t met w us... 1/8

This is a misleading headline. Doctors in Alberta are not getting paid significantly more in the next year Recently, the UCP tried to offer 2002 fees to recruit ED physicians I am curious what UCP are actually planning to do with that extra budget $ @PfParks @Albertadoctors

@Albertadoctors should be taking note of this. When a past president is this blunt about govt, any and all negotiations need to take this into consideration. We are dealing with a hostile party.
Parksy@PfParks

One thing is becoming very clear: the Premier CANNOT be trusted on HC. If anything she said was true she'd have held a Public Inquiry by now. It should concern all Albertans, including life-long conservatives, that our Premier cannot be trusted. x.com/PfParks/status…

Gonna be blunt - this is total BS! She ordered AHS to make that deal… There are documents from AHS leads advising against the purchase. Judge Wyant raised concerns but couldn’t compel the Premier or Govt to testify. I dare her to allow a public inquiry to see who’s accountable
