The braindead ideology of Canada's left on full and perfect display here👇
Virtually every health care system in the developed world has universal, public access, but permits various forms of private payment.
The social democracies of Scandinavia and Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Japan and South Korea, et al.
Canada is an extreme outlier in trying to maintain a rigid state monopoly that prevents innovation, driving desperate Canadians to seek care outside our country.
That's why we are in the top quartile of the OECD on health care expenses, but the bottom quartile on results, e.g. diagnostic and surgical wait times.
But the Canadian left is "horrified" by the idea of adopting aspects of systems with universal insurance that deliver better results at lower cost.
Their message to families desperate for timely care: just keep paying more, and keep waiting longer. Don't you dare step out of line and ask why the French, Swedes, Aussies, or Japanese et al can get faster care at lower cost.
