@CamillaTominey @rickygervais Free speech means free from legal consequence, not all consequence. You should be able to say what you like and express most any opinion, but it doesn’t mean organisations should continue to have to work with you, employ you etc. if they disagree with what you say.

I genuinely don’t think we can advocate free speech while simultaneously calling for the expulsion of a student we disagree with. Can anyone give this Oxford student a better education in agreeable disagreement? I’m thinking maybe @rickygervais or some other professor of good old fashioned common sense

@simoncwrightson @RupertLowe10 Most of the arguments against GOA3/4 are safety related. Fitting platform edge doors to most platforms is prohibitively expensive as many are curved. Without PED’s and without a driver to look for someone who’s fallen there is an apparent safety risk.

These tube drivers are taking the piss now. Automate it.

@davepl1968 I have two 1967/69 IBM 360 Model 20’s. Currently on display @SystemSource1 computer museum in Maryland on loan from us here in the UK! ibm360.co.uk (one system pictured, the other in storage).

Post a picture of the OLDEST computer you have: I'll go first! This is my DEC PDP-11/34 from 1976. It has 256K of RAM. It features two hard disks, 2 MB each, and a removable platter that stores 1 MB. For performance, it scores 240 Dhystones/second in raw integer performance. A 486DX33 scores 25,000 so that gives you a sense of how slow it is! But that was 15 year later, remember. Internally, there's a SCSI controller that allows me to boot from a ZULUScsi drive if needed, but I generally boot from the real drives. They're a bear to keep working. I've got it running 29BSD UNIX and RT-11, depending on where you boot from. It's got BASIC and ADVENTURE and the essentials like vi.

@LNRailway Hi Jont, I appreciate the reply, but while I know the station is managed by NR, it’s ultimately your passengers who are affected. I’d suggest it’s LNWR’s responsibility to work with the infraco to ensure accurate, timely information is communicated. That didn’t happen tonight.

@computid Ah my apologies, unfortunately I don't know why the wrong platform would be announced, this is station is managed by Network Rail, if you message them, they may have some answers for you. Apologies once again - Jont

@LNRailway Hi, can you please explain whats happening at Eus? The 19:39 was announced at Pl11, everybody piled on, the train then didn't depart due to a fault apparently, but I can see that 19:39 is 2N67 and actually departed Pl10. With the cancellations etc. this is ridiculous.

@LNRailway Evening. I’m not asking about delays, I’m asking why the wrong platform was announced and people were put on a unit that wasn’t going to depart when the correct unit was on a completely different platform. I understand the heat problem but this was something else.

@SGNgas you’ve been working in my street today replacing gas pipes. You appear to have left me with no gas and no warning it was being switched off. Are you going to turn it back on? Apparently your call centre is closed…

@LNRailway Thanks Leah, really appreciate it. The one opposite on 6 was being shunted to join two 4 cars but they stopped shunting before coupling and now there’s a load of staff on the platform. Fingers crossed it’s figured out soon!

@computid Hi Adam, the Control Team are literally discussing this service as I'm typing and working out what's going on. Sounds like there's been some confusion with which train units are supposed to be used for this service. Once I know more I'll let you know -Leah
