I'm currently building an open-data pipeline to extract elevation profiles for 50+ UK and IRE racecourses 🏇 Sources: OpenStreetMap + Open-Meteo elevation API Sample results: 📈 Goodwood: 45m range, 158m total ascent 📈 Salisbury: 42m range, +32m uphill finish 📉 Kempton: 5m range (essentially flat) On its own, interesting. Combined with a historical horse racing data source like @footballracing, you could start building real edge — matching course undulation profiles against horse form on similar terrain, pace ratings, and BSP price movement patterns. @SmarterSig Interesting, also the BFSP return, versus the price 10 seconds before the off I suspect there is something weird going on with what you get match if “Take SP” persistence versus if you took price before market put “in running”. Will have to look into it soon

Horse Racing needs to understand that for the longevity of the sport it needs to be kept niche. Look after your hardened customer base, gently gently ACQUIRE new people understanding that it won't be quick. All about retention not acquisition.

Few surprises in the markets this week 👀 Cork, 4 from 4 so 5/2 seems absolutely huge away to Derry Cavan had a good win v Kildare but Bryne missing. So 11/10 looks generous for Louth albeit not huge value & Armagh away to Mayo. Surly the bench mark is the Donegal game? 17/10

They win this game they're as good as promoted... chances are they'll have the legs run off them though, I won't be backing them straight up, maybe with a 4-5 pt handicap.

@GaelicStatsApp Galway +5 has to be too big, confidence surely dented after falling asleep last week so they might lose out ultimately, but they surely will clock up 20+ and Donegal not know for goal shots so will take a heck of a run to get to 25+ in likely poor weather.
