Ali Shaib was officially recruited as a member of Hezbollah’s military wing in 2020, but in practice had been cooperating with the terrorist organization since 2013. His role in the intelligence unit was to film intelligence information and transfer it to the Radwan Force, all under the guise of a journalist. Shaib’s activities in exposing the locations of IDF troops to Hezbollah posed a tangible threat to the lives of IDF troops in southern Lebanon.

Of course there "has been no evidence provided by" @IDF that Ali Hassan Shaib operated as a Hezbollah terrorist. In all the years I spent as a military lawyer, any guesses how many times we released to the public "evidence" that supported a targeting decision? That's right. Zero. That's not the purpose of sensitive intelligence. But if that's the standard you're using, did President Aoun provide "evidence" to support his claim that the attack "is a blatant crime that violates all the norms and treaties under which journalists enjoy international protection in wars"? Didn't think so. If Alex Crawford hadn't built her career running cover for terrorists & stoking anti-Israel sentiment, she might realize the double standards she exhibits mean her reporting aligns more closely with propaganda than "journalism."

Lebanon’s president Joseph Aoun and the Lebanese Minister of Information Paul Morcos denounced the killing of the journalists, with President Aoun calling the attack ‘a blatant crime that violates all the norms and treaties under which journalists enjoy international protection in wars’

Hezbollah is copying the Gaza playbook. Ali Shaib was not a journalist. He was a member of Hezbollah’s military wing since 2020. Undercover with a press vest, he transferred intelligence to the Radwan Forces. Israel didn’t eliminate him because he worked for the media branch of Iran’s Lebanese proxy army (Al Manar is itself a US designated terrorist organization) but because he was a member of its armed forces. I can’t believe that after dozens of “dead journalists” in Gaza turned out to be ACTIVE COMBATANTS (not just Hamas/PIJ content creators but COMBATANTS) people are still falling for this con.

@koshercockney I haven’t seen many people who defended October 7th. Those that do, I call out. I have seen many many people posting propaganda on X that defend the slaughter of Palestinian children though. Although not many in real life do anymore, Killing civilians is evil no matter what.

May we never forget 🕯️ Rut Perez who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy was slaughtered by Palestinian terrorists along with her father Eric Perez. A father taking his disabled daughter to a music festival that was focused on peace. Gazan terrorists butchered them. How does that "free Palestine"? I feel bad for the three “journalists” who lost their lives in the Hezbollah war against Israel. The dad of two of them speaks in the video below and almost brings me to tears. Nothing is worse than losing a child. But listen to his message. He didn’t think of them as neutral or objective journalists reporting on events. He thought of them as falling for the right cause that requires a lot of blood sacrifice. The father clearly sees himself and his children as Hezbollah rank and file, with his children fighting but in a different capacity than armed fighters. This is bad and must stop. This “popular war” rubbish must come to an end, or else misery in Lebanon will never be over.
