Reminder that just because you cant afford someomes commissions doesnt mean its overpriced. It means you arent their target audience. Their slots fill, people buy them for that price, they're trying to make a living just as you are. Art is a luxury not a necessity.

Everytime I get better at drawing I also get better at seeing everything I could improve at and it begs the question: is anyone actually satisfied with their art? Do u think the masters ever get to a point where they have nothing else to learn and just go “yep looks great!!”

in this era I hate that we have to be extra careful when drawing, like making sure the anatomy look right (esp hands), if the hair strands make sense, if some pattern make sense, everything has to be perfect, bcs mistakes are indicator of genai now, when mistakes are human too
