Trump loudly declared that every federal agency must “buy American.” Meanwhile, he is quietly using $37 million in foreign steel for his White House ballroom. Rules for thee but not for me. thehill.com/homenews/admin…

We are 81 days into Trump’s illegal Iran War, and Americans are the ones paying the price—at the pump, in our utility bills, at the store. Meanwhile, Mike Johnson and the House GOP are ignoring the Iran War and pretending that Congress has no role to play. This bullshit needs to end.

I’m so proud to represent a community that has such a strong spirit of volunteerism. “Farmer Dave” was excited to join Second Harvest Food Bank’s Harvest Solutions Farm last week to help plant bell peppers. Since 2021, the farm has harvested over 9 million lbs of produce! So needed during this time when so many are struggling to put food on the table. Thanks!

Hate, including Islamophobia, has no place in America. I stand with my Muslim brothers and sisters in condemning this horrific act of violence in San Diego yesterday, and I mourn those who were murdered.

Shocker! Trump’s approval ratings are in free fall. Americans are getting crushed by the costs of Trump’s tariffs and the Iran War. Meanwhile, Trump is laser focused on the imported marble for his WH ballroom and which talk show hosts are treating him “unfairly”. We can’t afford the high costs of Donald Trump. thehill.com/homenews/state…

Trump is turning the Treasury into a personal checking account for political loyalists and insurrectionists. While Americans get crushed by rising costs, Trump is creating a $1.8 BILLION taxpayer-funded slush fund that would reward Jan. 6 rioters who assaulted police officers and stormed the Capitol.

If it looks like insider trading, quacks like insider trading, and somehow racks up 3,600 stock trades tied to the President while working Americans get crushed by rising costs… No one is above the law, and no one should be using the government to enrich themselves.

Trump is settling a completely baseless lawsuit that he filed against the federal government, which he now controls. The judge was reportedly prepared to throw this lawsuit out, but instead Trump had his cronies “agree” to a $1.7 billion “settlement”—OUR taxpayer dollars—which he will use to enrich himself and the violent thugs who assaulted cops on January 6.

And he’s doing this all during Police Week. Outrageous, and we are exploring options to stop this clearly illegal giveaway of taxpayer dollars.

Secretary Burgum had no answer because the facts are brutal. China added more renewable energy last year than the US added total energy capacity. While they race to dominate the industries of the future, Republicans are still arguing with the wind and sun.

By raising doubts about our commitment to defending Taiwan (our close ally which is responsible for many of the powerful chips that power our technology), Trump is massively raising the risks that China will attack Taiwan. Teddy Roosevelt once defined the linchpin of strong foreign policy: speak softly and carry a big stick. Trump is doing the exact opposite of that and making the world much more dangerous. fox8tv.com/trump-warns-ta…

Orange County taxpayers heavily subsidize the rest of the country, so I’m grateful to be able bring back federal money for local projects, including these two key items in Seal Beach, one for a new trash interceptor in the San Gabriel River to keep our coastline clean and free of trash, and another for critical stormwater infrastructure improvements in the College Park East neighborhood to help address chronic flooding.

Today on the House floor, I honored the life and legacy of Mary Kageyama Nomura, the beloved “Songbird of Manzanar.” At just 15 years old, Mary was incarcerated at Manzanar during World War II, where her voice became a source of hope and comfort for fellow Japanese Americans enduring incarceration. May we honor her memory by preserving the stories of those who endured injustice and by ensuring their voices are never forgotten.

So let me get this straight. A billionaire accused of bribery and fraud lobbies Trump’s team. And now DOJ may drop the case entirely? Time and time again, the Trump Administration has made clear that they don’t believe the rules apply to them and their fellow Epstein elites. We must restore the rule of law in this country. nytimes.com/2026/05/14/nyr…

I’ve always supported law enforcement and strong public safety, but today I’m voting NO on H.Con.Res. 96 — a partisan GOP resolution that claims to support law enforcement while blaming Democrats and progressives for crime. It also seeks to strip local control from cities and states that want their police officers focused on actual crime, not deputized into Donald Trump’s lawless and often violent immigration enforcement machine.

I had the honor of visiting the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to pay tribute to the officers who gave their lives in service to their communities. During National Police Week, we remember the courage and sacrifice carried not only by those who wear the badge, but by the families who stand beside them every day. We honor their service and remember those we lost.

Time and time again, survivors have been denied justice. Even after @OversightDems passed the Epstein Transparency Act, Pam Bondi exposed survivors’ personal information while hiding key evidence from the public. Enough of the coverups. We’re getting answers next week. @RepMaxwellFrost

Today, we heard testimony making clear that cameras were installed throughout Epstein’s estate, including in rooms where abuse took place. But even though the lead DOJ attorneys were calling this footage the “smoking gun” in the Epstein case, and even though they knew where it was held, the DOJ has never sought to acquire or produce this evidence to the public. The coverup cannot continue. We will be demanding answers from Pam Bondi next week.
