Orange County taxpayers heavily subsidize the rest of the country, so I’m grateful to be able bring back federal money for local projects, including these two key items in Seal Beach, one for a new trash interceptor in the San Gabriel River to keep our coastline clean and free of trash, and another for critical stormwater infrastructure improvements in the College Park East neighborhood to help address chronic flooding.

Today on the House floor, I honored the life and legacy of Mary Kageyama Nomura, the beloved “Songbird of Manzanar.” At just 15 years old, Mary was incarcerated at Manzanar during World War II, where her voice became a source of hope and comfort for fellow Japanese Americans enduring incarceration. May we honor her memory by preserving the stories of those who endured injustice and by ensuring their voices are never forgotten.

I’ve always supported law enforcement and strong public safety, but today I’m voting NO on H.Con.Res. 96 — a partisan GOP resolution that claims to support law enforcement while blaming Democrats and progressives for crime. It also seeks to strip local control from cities and states that want their police officers focused on actual crime, not deputized into Donald Trump’s lawless and often violent immigration enforcement machine.

I had the honor of visiting the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to pay tribute to the officers who gave their lives in service to their communities. During National Police Week, we remember the courage and sacrifice carried not only by those who wear the badge, but by the families who stand beside them every day. We honor their service and remember those we lost.

Time and time again, survivors have been denied justice. Even after @OversightDems passed the Epstein Transparency Act, Pam Bondi exposed survivors’ personal information while hiding key evidence from the public. Enough of the coverups. We’re getting answers next week. @RepMaxwellFrost

A rare moment of honesty from Donald Trump.   Thanks for clarifying what we always knew. He does not care about the American people.

Today, we heard testimony making clear that cameras were installed throughout Epstein’s estate, including in rooms where abuse took place. But even though the lead DOJ attorneys were calling this footage the “smoking gun” in the Epstein case, and even though they knew where it was held, the DOJ has never sought to acquire or produce this evidence to the public. The coverup cannot continue. We will be demanding answers from Pam Bondi next week.

For years, this Supreme Court majority claimed to stand for “judicial restraint.” Instead, Americans have watched them act as a hyper-partisan wing of the GOP while baselessly and arbitrarily creating new law shielding Trump from criminal prosecution, overturning Congressional laws protecting voting rights, and allowing our campaign finance to be completely captured by billionaires and foreign adversaries. All while operating at unprecedented levels of corruption and intellectual dishonesty.
