Kaulig Racing CEO Chris Rice was asked about where they are with the Dodge engine situation and 2027. He said they are in the same situation they have been in the last month or two with a hurdle to overcome. He never said 2027 was ruled out. Our take: Look you had @Jordan_Bianchi say a month ago his sources told them they had a breakthrough on the engine side. Jordan would have more specific details than we would for sure. The interesting part is Chris was saying this on air… saying this in front of Jordan. It’s important to remember @BrakeHardBlog / @ClosingLaps believe they figured it out or at least it was trending that way. We heard they had made significant process but we’ve never been told it’s completely figured out. It felt like Chris Rice was pouring some cold water on this again however it was around this time last year Chris was pouring cold water on the RAM possibility as well. Remember what @DaleJr said. Chris Rice isn’t going to go on a podcast or radio show and spill the beans on Dodge’s big announcement. All that being said the glass half empty side of me goes maybe Dodge doesn’t make it in for 2027. It’s simple mathematics either Chris Rice is being totally up front about this and Jordan, Brakehard, Dale Jr and us are all wrong. Or Chris Rice is protecting the announcement. We believe Jordan is sitting on a story of some sort surrounding the Dodge situation. He had the opportunity to retort what Chris Rice said this morning but did not. The Modretro M64 has a compatibility list on their website. Among the 16 games listed as “in progress” are Donkey Kong 64, Perfect Dark, Rogue Squadron and Jet Force Gemini. Some of the listed reasons include minor things like frame dips. A few have straight up crashes.

To everyone who called me and others “corporate shills,” “bootlickers,” and worse—and posted disgusting memes because we were not outraged by the possibility of @Sony and @Playstation moving towards digital-only gaming—here is a question: if they reverse that decision and continue supporting physical discs, are you prepared for some uncomfortable honesty? For weeks, you attacked anyone who did not share your position. You claimed “No Physical, No Buy,” harassed people across YouTube and social media, and acted as though buying a digital console or game made someone morally inferior. But the moment @Sony and @Playstation give you what you want, many of you will immediately celebrate, buy a PS6, purchase physical games, and continue supporting the exact corporation you accused everyone else of shilling for. You can call that a victory, but you should also acknowledge the contradiction. You cannot spend weeks insulting people for financially supporting a corporation, then turn around and financially support that same corporation simply because it changed one policy in your favour. At that point, by your own definition, you have become the very thing you accused everyone else of being. The predictable reaction will be: “PlayStation reversed the decision, so now I’m buying a PS6 and purchasing physical games again.” That is your choice, but do not pretend it makes you morally superior. You did not reject corporate gaming—you demanded that the corporation sell its products in the format you personally preferred. You want to send a genuine message to @Steam, @Nintendo, @Microsoft, @Xbox, and the entire gaming industry? Stop buying and playing games altogether. That would be a real boycott. The uncomfortable truth is that most people shouting “No Physical, No Buy” do not actually have the conviction to walk away from gaming. They still want the latest consoles, releases, exclusives, and online conversations. They just want to feel righteous while continuing to participate. Physical or digital, most people play games because they enjoy them—not because the delivery format defines their character. Disagree with digital-only gaming all you want, but stop dehumanising, humiliating, and harassing people who make a different choice. It's only true if you let it be true for you. This app has hated the Brickyard 400 for as long as I've been on it, but it's still my favorite NASCAR race of every year. It will never disappoint me. That's not "toxic positivity," it's just what I choose to like.
