I built an upset vulnerability index (Y-axis) that tries to gauge the probability of a higher seeded team losing in the first round.
The X-axis has the Kenpom simulation probability of losing in round 1
Most vulnerable in the upper right quadrant.
Very hard to backtest this so could be WAY off 😂

@BendelowGreens Champions I can see for that price, but there are maybe 5 publicly accesible courses in the US worth paying $500+ for, and stadium is nowhere near that list.

Short game is just such a wack skill.

Putting strokes can look crazy different. Long putters, blades, tons of grips.
Technique matters. But hand eye coordination and feel undefeated.

Eating out on carnivore, ranked by effort required:
Steakhouse: zero effort. They have steak.
Pub: nearly zero effort. They have a mixed grill.
McDonald's: zero effort. No bun.
Any restaurant in Britain: find the animal on the menu. Order the animal. Leave the sides.
Airport: McDonald's is probably there.
Motorway services: McDonald's is definitely there.
Someone's house for dinner: eat what you're given. You are a guest, not a food critic. The diet survives a Wednesday pasta.
The effort required to eat carnivore away from home is significantly lower than advertised. The main skill involved is identifying beef on a menu. This is not a difficult skill.

Why is it that the Masters can do everything better than the billion dollar PGA Tour?
The power of a benevolent dictator.
Augusta and by proxy the Masters is run by the Chairman. They have committees, but he has the ultimate say.
The players get no real say. The advertisers support 100%. The Tours have no say, in fact they have effectively zero power against Augusta.
So ANGC can simply make the best product in the world and cut through all the bullcrap.
Yes money helps, but as we have learned from government, infinite money isn’t enough if incompetence and bureaucracy and corruption runs the show. The PGA Tour has been filled with that. (Seems to be getting better with the new boss.)

There were earlier reports of bone mineral density issues. Those did not hold up. The product doesn't seem to generate that problem. The issues with tolerability are mostly gastrointestinal, and those are alleviated somewhat by titrating doses, so they'll look into that now.

Truth is you can only do so much. It’s like music. If you want to be original at this point, it probably won’t be good.

50 years from now, we’ll look back at this period and see dozens of the same course built to mimic great golf architecture. This picture looks like it could be several other courses.
