After reading the original how many people went away saying we take your material? A lot after implying clarification

Maybe TBSN is hearing differently than me, but I want to at least clarify because this phrasing runs similar to some things I said yesterday. I haven’t heard about Brown making guys look silly (at least not consistently); I have heard about him making plays though. I was sharing what I’d been hearing about Brown so far this spring and had shared with Jimmy recently — not what I had heard about Brown from the scrimmage. I was excited when DeBoer praised him though, because it had backed up everything I had heard about him so far. Don’t know if this clip was using what I said or if they were running off different info, but just wanted to clarify in case any confusion was created. He’s looked good and made things happen — and that’s pretty much been the case even with him starting to see opportunities against better competition (or at least it was heading into yesterday’s scrimmage). Don’t think much — if any — of that has been against the first-team though. He’s not standing out *that much.* And I don’t know of him making everybody put in front of him look silly. Once again, wanted to clarify from my end at least. TBSN could be hearing differently.

I think you’re reading a little too hard into this, Clint’s not the guy to say that somebody else can’t do the same job he’s doing, you both probably have different sources and that’s okay, it’s what makes getting coverage from multiple different media people exciting. BOL had something a little different than both of you and again, that’s okay. I don’t think Clint had any hostility in his words or would purposefully discredit another Bama media outlet. Everybody is pumped for the season is excited to talk about any and everything going on in practice.

This wasn’t a shot at The Bama Standard. I said repeatedly that you guys might have your own sources on this — and if so, that’s completely fine. I’m saying it somewhat lined up with what I had reported but wanted to clarify the difference in mine. That’s not to say your reporting was wrong. Never once said you weren’t qualified to cover football — or even insinuated it. And there’s a reason I said some version of “they may be hearing differently” on multiple occasions. That being said, thank you for letting me know where we stand.

@ClintRLamb The Bama Standard is more than qualified to cover football and we have our own sources. And last time I checked they have an actual former player on the panel that was an actual ALL-SEC linebacker at The University of Alabama, no further clarification is needed couch QB.
