@TheRog590 It’s simple really, the leagues you reference can claim, they are the best in their respective sports and because they have a 🇨🇦🇺🇸 focus can access 400M people. CFL only plays in 🇨🇦 + love it or hate it the NFL is the pinnacle 4 pro 🏈. These 2 factors alone pretty much it 🤔

@ravira @XsAndArgos He’s 11-13 as a starter, not bad when all but one start was for a ‘woeful’ Elks team. Milanovich revived BLM’s career, can refine TF 2 playing a more structured style while keeping his X factor. BTW when he takes off, good luck catching him 👀🤷‍♂️⁉️

JB on @XsAndArgos last night about Tre Ford and the #Ticats offence: "This isn't sustainable." I tend to agree. Ford can win them some games - Dolegala really can't - but they're probably not staying at .500 with him. Other #CFL defences will do a much better job containing him.

@BobIrvingCJOB Happy 4 him, although picked Argos in our ‘old Rider’ pool. He’s a unique talent, and being 🇨🇦, just down the QEW he’s a major asset 4 Tabbies. Don’t get the ‘hate’ he has received from ‘football people’ (11-13 career starting) almost all on really bad Elk teams, go Tre 🇨🇦🏈💯‼️

Tre Ford gives the Ticats hope at the QB position after a solid performance in a 24-23 win over the Argos. Liram Hajrallahu missed a 31-yard FG on the final play of the game to hand the Ticats the win. But Ford was a solid 21/27 for 218 yards and rushed for 109.

@MartyYork UR not wrong, Als/Stamps was epic and thrilled 2C Ford starting in Hammer. If Milanovich can give him more structure without taking away his X factor, speed elusiveness, big play potential , big new for CFL!

The #cfl game in Calgary was easily the most entertaining professional sporting event in Canada today. Als are strong. Looking forward to tonight's game in Hamilton, too, where I'm sensing Ford to be electric in a starting role + for Ticats to record an upset in a thriller.

#TORvHAM the time of possession is evenly split, but Argos QB Chad Kelly has just 70 yards passing and this style game would favor the Ticats, a turnover, return would appear to be what will change momentum of this game in the second half

Interesting and reasonable point. But isn't a lot of the commentary going along with the idea that this was 'inadvertent', in order to give a famous player the benefit of the doubt. I think most golfers - including me - watch this stomping and it looks quite intentional.

Here is my problem with the Bryson rules situation. First, I do think the penalty was correct by the letter of the law. It’s fair that we don’t know exactly where he was trying to swing, and *maybe* he didn’t step where it improved his situation, but if I have to make the call, I’m calling this a penalty. In a situation like that, the player needs to be very careful about changing the conditions. While I fully understand and support the idea of “protecting the field”, the issue is not every player has multiple cameras on them for every shot, and not all their shots are shown on TV. If a “not well known” player did the same thing, would it have resulted in the same penalty? Doubtful. I don’t have an answer with how to solve this and I am not advocating for players to be able to break rules… But if protecting the field means some players have significantly more scrutiny than others, that’s not ideal. Other than every player having their own dedicated rules official that walk with them every step of the way, not sure how you solve this?

Post game #FarhanCast following @GoElks 19-17 win over @BCLions. Truly not sure how to feel about this one given the circumstances of not having Rourke for basically the whole game. Early indications are the injury is not expected to be long term. And BC’s Defense was outstanding

Chase Brice has made some improvements this off season. I liked what I saw in the pre season & vs TiCats. That said, 2 of those ints were not good. Not sure the extent of Rourke’s injury, but I’d be tempted to Kaidon Salter some run. He’s got a tremendous ceiling & it might be worth seeing what you have there. Either way I’m not sure how much better BC is than Hamilton and Ottawa without the starting quarterback.

@draftjm13 I get that, but what choice do they have now, can’t play out the string and get blown out every week? Embrace Ford, he’ll at least make some spectacular plays, throw pics BUT 10-13, as a starter who is a better choice, think Jake is one and done 🤷‍♂️⁉️

Outside of Brown and Arbuckle you are mostly looking at backup QBs making very low salaries, the short yardage stars make decent pay, so adding Ford who also has connections to Ontario could have been more of a Wild Card play on both sides, but he doesn't fit the offensive scheme profile

#HAMvSSK just no way you can say the Ticats coaches have any real thoughts on Tre Ford to watch this for 3 plus quarters, your D on the road is holding up and you are getting worse total QB play than if you had inserted Jarret Doege off the street into the game, 18-7, he's averaging 3.9 yards per pass attempt and within 40 yards of having as many rushing yards as passing, so do not talk about size, arm strength or inexperience, he's been in the CFL since 2022 and is 29 years old
