Victor Eklund will not be playing for Team Sweden. Told he’s focused on working extremely hard this summer in preparation for 2026-27 season, whether that’s with #Isles in #NHL or in Hamilton. He’ll be a hard player for NYI to cut, that’s for sure.

Kyle Palmieri had the play of the year across this entire league, would’ve liked to see him win the Masterton. Stripping a puck and assisting a goal with a torn ACL is an example of competitive greatness you only see in the NHL

Just for fun… I’m just genuinely curious at where some of this fanbase is at with these players. For the record I’m against both: Hypothetically, Mathieu Darche trades one of Mathew Barzal or Bo Horvat this summer. Question: Which player would you prefer the Islanders trade?

I’ll continue podcasting and producing New York Islanders content — that isn’t changing. I’m still working through what comes next, but I’m excited for the future and grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way.

@TheNLKing @JBuonoNYI Have to think Schenn trade is the end of Lee. They are close to the same style player and Schenn is a better skater.

@JBuonoNYI There is no doubt trading for Schenn with them not making the playoffs hurt. There are no guarantees in trades. If he didn't make a trade & they fell apart would have been killed much worse. Schenn trade will not kill them
