@StoryblocksCo Hi, I just discovered that you've overcharged me for this years subscription. I'm sure it's a mistake but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't have checked. I'm messaged you on the website but nothing so far. It's been 3 days. Can you help?

The Core/Satellite approach. I learnt this term in lockdown. Scrolling online looking for business ideas. I found @convofmoney on YouTube His explanation had me hooked. So what it it? This strategy balances two competing philosophies. Here’s how it changes your mindset: There are two competing strategies in personal finance. Tortoise: This is the long-term method. It’s what I promote and many here on Money X follow. It involves investing for the long term. Consistency is key here. You place money in the markets, (typically the S&P500) on a frequent basis (weekly or monthly) You buy up or down. And you wait. Over time your money accumulated interest. This builds sizeable sums over time. It’s also very reliable. Over a 30 year period it’s never lost. The problem is it takes a long time. You might see a stock rocket into the S&P giving people wild returns… And then tick over by the time you get it. It can lead to a lot of fomo. Method 2? Hare: This involves accumulating quickly. These are typically: • Entrepreneurs • Growth Investors • Traders These guys want their money fast. Forget waiting 30 years! I want it now. They invest in fast growing assets and get their money quick. The tricky thing is doing this reliably. Most traders lose. So, how do you balance the two? Introducing Core/Satellite. This combines both worlds. You have a “Core” holding, which contains a majority of your money. This would be your steady, reliable S&P. Most of your money is protected. Then you have your Satellites. These holdings are your fun money. Smaller portions distributed amongst high growth stocks. This year it might be $NVDA Or $TSLA. They grow at enormous rates and give your portfolio a “boost” Then as they larger, they funnel into your core holding. You get both benefits. Most of your cash grows at a steady, reliable rate. But you’re still allowed other holdings which provide a boost without risking too much capital. I love this strategy and it’s the main one I have adopted.

I get a lot of messages from people who want to come on the pod to talk about how to invest in properties & what not but I feel like it’s a hella insensitive time to have the conversation when there’s a crazy amount of people strugglingggg to make rent.

@helptobuy How about replying to the several extremely urgent emails I’ve sent over the last few weeks? Deadlines missed and likely to miss the extension I received too. Sort it out.
