They made me a "deal" for a year that's close enough to my pain of switching that I think I'm going to take it. It will give me time to find another solution. I'm pretty unhappy/upset with them. They had been so great for so long, I guess I took it for granted.

I've been using @harvest for 16 years and today they tell me they want to increase my annual price from $129.60 to $1,116.00 based on my usage. I'm one developer who has half a dozen projects on the go and sends less than 10 invoices a month. Make it make sense.

@harvest @codelever I've been a customer for 10+ years. I'm very dissapointed by the billing changes you've made. The "usage" charge based on my invoices seems really invasive to me. How are the values of my invoices any of your business? Pic is the email I sent to support.

@MrPeterLMorris @thearchitect452 Interesting. You have data validators on entities? I only use them to validate DTO's coming into requests. I am also using FluentValidator, Blazor, and MediatR.

@MrPeterLMorris I was at a meetup with a GraphQL expert talk and I had 1 question afterwards: “what is the value if you build frontend and backend as one system by the same people?”. Reply: “Whait, what?! You are in control of both?! Would NEVER use it then. Just built api that you need”.

UX designers who eliminated the filesystem from user consciousness in name of simplicity ruined the world and are morally culpable for shriveling minds of children who are unable to tackle the challenges of today thanks to a choice rooted in misunderstood advocacy for the user.

@GreenRoninPub is there a release date for "Sol System: A Sourcebook for The Expanse RPG"? Asking for a friend. Ok, actually asking for several of my friends.

@MrPeterLMorris If it is not too much trouble, how do you do this currently? > unless the coder (you) told Fluxor at startup a list of classes that you want to use your generic reducer with. I really appreciate all the work you’ve done on Fluxor!

If you want teenagers to become successful founders, have a contest to write the best computer game instead of a contest to invent the most plausible-sounding fake startup idea. And pick the winner by measuring which game their peers play the most.

1. Fuck off, you're not Elon Musk, so stop mentally mastrubating to dumb threads you read on Twitter. Go lift some weights, unfatten yourself, and work hard at your career, and log off this app every once in awhile.

Twins Sean and Elise get to squatting (spotted by dad Gabe!) on Friday morning. Friday wrapped up their first week of training, and they are off to a great start.

@ylecun There were a lot of crashes along the way to a jet liner. Lots of missteps and mistakes and post mortems.

I'm not saying it's going to be easy, just like making jetliners as reliable as they are today hasn't been easy. But making it sound like it's an unsolvable problem is, at the very least, extremely premature, and most likely just false.

Hey @tegmark, most of us know that super-intelligent machines of the future will have to aligned with human values. We just don't think it's as difficult as you make it to be. And we don't think that getting it slightly wrong merely once will spell doom on humanity.
Max Tegmark@tegmark

Humanity's lackadaisical response to the superintelligence threat makes me feel I'm in the movie "Don't Look Up". I just explained why here: time.com/6273743/thinki…

Wow these are sick. 3D printed ships - real and fiction - mounted in informational display boxes. (Not an ad, don't know this person, found searching for Halo info) And they're ~$45 ebay.com/str/3dshipyard

Which part? Enlighten me. 2, 22 ounce beers is 44 ounces of beer at 8% alcohol. That's the same as 88 ounces of beer at 4% alcohol (Bud Light). 88 divided by 12 = 7.3. So, 2, large, 22 ounce IPA's is the exact same as 7.3 Bud Lights. The definition of binge drinking is 5 or more drinks in one sitting. How are those facts "bullshit I just made up"? Someone isn't a fan of facts that make him uncomfortable.
