This is a meaningful milestone. It is not as if India has become a semiconductor powerhouse overnight but it does mark the country's entry into a strategic industry. The real test will be whether these initial investments evolve into a full-fledged semiconductor ecosystem over the next 10–15 years. Going by the track record of this government in implementing the PLI scheme, which delivered good success in mobile phone manufacturing, achieving 20% value addition with plans to reach 30% by 2030. I hope it implements Semiconductor Mission 1.0 (with ₹76,000 crore allocation) and Semiconductor Mission 2.0 (₹1 lakh crore allocation, as reported by the media) with similar effectiveness. The semiconductor industry is highly complex, with absolutely no margin for error. Taiwan achieved its current dominant position in the sector through sustained efforts spanning nearly 60 years. India has entered the race nearly 50 years late. We can only hope for the best possible outcome over the next 10–15 years. At the very least, the goal should be to make India self-sufficient in basic chips, even if not yet in the advanced chips that Taiwan currently produces.
The Indian Matrix@indianmatrix

Today marks a watershed moment in India’s industrial history as PM inaugurates the commencement of commercial production at the CG Power-Renesas OSAT facility in Sanand, Gujarat. For decades, a defeatist narrative persisted within the corridors of power: that cutting-edge innovation and semiconductor manufacturing were the exclusive domains of 'wealthy nations.' The prevailing wisdom was to remain a consumer and an importer, a strategy that left India at a crippling disadvantage during global supply chain disruptions and kept us technologically dependent. This government chose to shatter that status quo. Recognizing that while India may have missed the 'semiconductor bus' in previous decades, we could no longer afford to be spectators. The transition from the launch of Semicon 1.0 to the scaled-up ambitions of Semicon 2.0 represents years of painstaking policy-making, infrastructure development, and global partnership building. The 'Bharat Semiconductor Chip Matrix' is no longer just a blueprint on paper - it is a physical reality taking shape across the landscape of our nation. Why the Sanand facility matters: The commencement of commercial production at the CG Semicon OSAT facility is the first major step in closing the loop. By moving from design to assembly, testing, and packaging (ATMP) on domestic soil, India is officially entering the global semiconductor value chain. The ecosystem is expanding rapidly - from the design hubs of Bengaluru to the emerging manufacturing clusters in Gujarat, Odisha, and Assam. India is no longer content with just being a 'back office' for the world; we are becoming the factory floor for the future of electronics.

On 18th June, a 13-year-old girl took e-rickshaw to go to her home in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. Instead of taking her home, the driver kidnapped her and sold her to someone in a hotel. She was rescued from a hotel on 22nd June by police. In these five days, this minor girl was moved between four different local hotels, forced to consume alcohol to suppress her cries, and sexually assaulted by 32 men. All the hotels connected to this case have been demolished. 12 people linked to the exploitation have been arrested including the rickshaw driver. Anyone who assaulted or helped others to assault this little girl should be hanged to death. Anything less than that is just waste of time and resources. These people so filthy and unworthy that they should not be allowed to breathe the same air.

The silence surrounding the brutal five-day gang-rape of an innocent 13-year-old girl by 30 men in Ganganagar is absolutely deafening. There are no protests, no mainstream news broadcasts and no trending topics on X for an act so monstrous. It raises a disturbing question: is the public and media look the other way purely because this happened under a BJP administration? Everything is allowed under BJP watch?

As Russian couple wave flag from Empire state building in Newyork(US), nobody asked the simple question: Why the f**k they needed to go to US? They could have done same thing from some Russian building as well?
