The @cooperunion team of mechanical engineering students, consisting of seniors Abigail Berg, Justice Candelario, Francisco Guzman, and Eun-Soe (Colette) Lee, under the faculty advisement of Professor David Wootton, worked with NYSID Member Agency @CPUnlimitedHV, which supports people with cerebral palsy in the workplace. The team designed and built a more accessible, secure cabinet for CP Unlimited’s paper-shredding room. We thank each participating team for their thoughtful partnership and for developing #assistivetechnolgy to make employment more inclusive for the individuals we serve. We also sincerely thank today’s panel of judges for evaluating the impressive designs and our distinguished speakers, including @johnmcdonald108, @BurdickAD93, and Willow Baer, Acting Commissioner, @NYSOPWDD. Congratulations to all of today’s participating teams on a job well done.
