@copykel you're dissociating my guy. read up on derealisation and depersonalisation. sounds like that's what you're experiencing. i had it when my depression got really bad. to the point where i wasn't sure i was real or the world was real. i wished it wasn't. you prolly should take SSRIs
@hippsodeth This post wasn’t supposed to reach more than my friends, I drive very carefully. And by panicking I just mean it feels like I suddenly became very aware of everything.
Define freaking out and panicking. Humans can function enough to get by under a lot of fugue in routine circumstances, but I don't know if what you're talking about is dangerous. We autopilot driving more than we want to admit.
@rotdes333 YEAH TOTALLY I understand what you mean!!! it is a little weird that ppl r so quick to tell me I have something when they no nothing besides that small detail abt me but I appreciate peoples concern nonetheless!
@rotdes333 Oh ofc I would literally never self diagnose…. Im not really able to get therapy either so I’m just stuck in a limbo 😭 I’ll be fine tho it’s okay
@copykel Yeaah i wouldn't self diagnose. It could be a myriad of things. doesn't really have to be severe trauma, the human mind is complicated.
doesnt hurt to speak to a professional when you have the means to be able to understand properly what you're going through yk?
@copykel Yeah I think ik what you mean. Autopilot mode from my understanding is just getting you through the day I used to experience it like every day and could not remember what had happened at all other than a schedule
@rotdes333 I don’t know how to describe it like. I almost always feel like I’m not fully there. I jsut specifically lock in during driving for safety reasons its like my brain snaps me back to reality :’) I promise I’m a very safe driver
@copykel Typically means you’re going through a lot of emotional turmoil. If you find yourself dissociating during driving try keeping your eyes moving, it’s dangerous to drive like that for you and the people around you
Giving you big hugs and care 🫂
@copykel I kind of get the same feeling whenever I start to do something important in my life, like I was just in autopilot but when I have to do something actually important in my adult life I’m like oh wow I’m actually here
A large majority of my life is spent feeling like I’m not real and nothing is real so when I suddenly snap out of it it’s like I’m possessed and I don’t like that
