FIFA launched a barely functional World Cup Fantasy game, with a rulebook missing half the rules and a mystery chip that wasn’t a mystery - and did so with a single boilerplate press release. Guess what? I’d take that in a heartbeat over this drip-feed FPL launch 😂

Nottingham Forest 3-0 Blackburn Rovers (2 different squads for each half) Jesus 45' ⚽️ Awoniyi 45' ⚽️ Kalimuendo 45' ⚽️ Gibbs-White 45' 🅰️ Moreira 45' 🅰️ Dominguez 45' — 5 DEFCONs Morato 45' — 5 DEFCONs Williams 45' — 3 DEFCONs Williams was extremely high at times and often left isolated. Glasner was constantly instructing him to push forward, while Aina made just one overlapping run and hasn't really been involved going forward in the first two friendlies. Sels looked poor from corners, nothing new there. Made one very good save. Milenkovic was terrible on the ball but okay off it. Made 2 mistakes leading to shots and finished with only 2 DEFCONs. Cunha looked just as uncomfortable in possession. James McAtee took 2 direct free-kicks despite Gibbs-White being on the pitch again. Good game from both. There seems to be a clear instruction that whenever either receives the ball in the middle, they immediately look for quick one-touch vertical combinations into Jesus. We've now seen that pattern repeatedly in both games. Jesus should've had a hat-trick at minimum. Scored one, hit the post, and missed another big chance. 2 of his biggest chances were created by James McAtee. There were more goals in the second half, but it's hard to take much from it as the intensity was roughly three times lower.

With Haaland at 15.5 mil and Gabriel potentially at 8 mil we could be spending upwards of 35.5 mil on 3 players!! @FPL__Raptor Nah I don’t think he will be 70% to start. Maybe just above 50%. He would have to haul in the first few games in a row to reach 70%

I still think at £15.5m Haaland will be 70%+ owned, but let's see how the price the rest of the players, maybe it will be more difficult to own than we think.

LiveFPL is staying for 26/27! Thanks everyone who reached out, I appreciate your support. I think there is still value LiveFPL can offer to the community. Effective Ownerships, What if scenarios, safety scores, expanded league data, custom leagues, threats and differentials, events effects and more. An enhanced web planner is coming too. I will evaluate the situation better through the season. I am not going to predict price changes via my model anymore (RIP model) but will see if I can add more insights to the official predictions. Seeing FPL adopt live features eight years after LiveFPL introduced them feels like a validation of the work I’ve put in over the years. Although I had no involvement in their implementation, I’m incredibly proud of the influence LiveFPL has had on the game and the experience it created for millions of managers.
