@annbauerwriter It might not even be a scam; it could be as simple as bored college students playing with AI toolkits just to see what they can do. I’m not sure there’s much you can do unless LinkedIn sees this as enough of a threat that they start taking countermeasures.

My question is WHY? What's the endgame? And how do I avoid this (or can I avoid this)? And is this just one more thing to loathe about LinkedIn?

@coreynash in the beginning I think it was Twitter payouts? If you add comments like these under popular posts, they're going to get a ton of views as well, they recently made a switch where comments are no longer monetized probably to discourage this kind of spam

I don't get it, there are so many ai bots here on this site, and still the best they can do is slightly paraphrase what someone said without adding any value to the conversation? So much wasted potential, how would a helpful reply bot actually look like?

@made_in_cosmos I’ve been meaning to look for an AI bot that has major scientific journals as a data source, so it can relate current state of the art of a field to a conversation. I’d find that super useful.
