In Half-life 2, Eli Vance uses the face of a homeless individual from Seattle, who approached Valve while looking for work. Valve decided to pay him and use his face for Eli Vance, however the man was never given any proper credit. To this day, no one knows what his name is, or

She actually hired the former poachers to work as the new park rangers. Since they originally relied on hunting to make a living, she gave them a new livelihood. That means the exact same people who used to hunt the animals in that forest are now the ones being paid to protect them.

Angelina Jolie bought 60 thousand hectares in Cambodia that were used for hunting. Today, the area has become a wildlife protection reserve.

Alegrarse por recibir un diagnóstico de TDAH es una soplapollez, como dicen mis coleguitas españoles. Es probablemente el diagnóstico con más falsos positivos de la historia de la psicología clínica.

People like Clav, Tate, Hasan, etc, most "grifters", use the "motte and bailey" fallacy to build their whole careers. They hit upon something that is an uncomfortable truth; for Clav it's that attractive people have an easier life. For Tate, it was that the way the world is structured is obviously bullshit ("escape the matrix" etc). Hasan, well he's kinda dumb but rides on the leftwing trend as a whole, blaming modern woes on "capitalism" which is a common belief online now. They build their philosophies from that and it can get kinda insane and even dangerous. You can argue with their more extreme beliefs but they can always retreat to truth (or commonly held belief) at the core. That core allows them to be easily shared around: they're right about that one thing, so maybe they're right about others? It's not just politics, and whether it's intentional or not doesn't matter, but making lighter content side by side with heavier content draws people in. And people will have to make heavier content because people get bored of the lighter stuff. The point is that social media algos, by providing people exactly what they want, will make people more extreme in WHATEVER they believe. It's not the fault of the algos, it's just how people function.
