LATEST🚨: Engineers just proposed a 36 mile long spacecraft called 'Chrysalis' that could carry 2400 people to Alpha Centauri, just 4 light-years away from us, on one way trip. The journey will take 400 years! The passengers who board it will never see Earth again. Neither will their children. Or their grandchildren.

I don't expect any of you to give a shit, but I would like to share something with all of you. This is kind of a cautionary tale for younger person in my audience. For the love of God: DO NOT FUCK AROUND WITH BENZODIAZEPINE. Like it was a plague, don't do Xanax, or Klonopin, or Valium, unless it is under strict medical supervision and you're well educated on the drug. When I was 18 I had severe anxiety. My anxiety was so extreme I was afraid to shower, put gas in my car, etc. Once I was so afraid to shower I didn't bathe for 8 months. My anxiety was debilitating. I was eventually given a narcotic called Klonopin. The doctor didn't warn me about the drug. Klonopin is an extremely effective anti-anxiety medication. It was like a breathe of fresh air. I was able to function. It saved my life. However, what the doctor DID NOT tell me is that Klonopin is like rat poison and is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS. I cannot stress this enough: INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS. The long term effects of Benzodiazepine is catastrophic. General speaking, physicians only want you taking drugs like Klonopin for 90 days MAXIMUM. I've been taking it for over 15 years. My brain and body are both heavily dependent on the drug. If I don't have my Klonopin I physically cannot function. My arms shake, I get headaches, I get confused, I get overwhelming anxiety, I get physically sick, it is absolutely awful. It feels very similar to having the Influenza virus mixed with extreme sleep depravation mixed with being hung over. Additionally, whenever I told other physicians I take Klonopin I am treated like a drug addict and they scoff at me. Several times in the past, when in an Emergency Room or whatever, and I mention I take Klonopin, I've had doctors directly tell me, "Well, I'm not going to give you any Xanax", or "Why are you really here?". It's terrible and embarrassing. Anyway, to make a long story short I've decided to begin the journey of quiting the drug. I can't quit cold turkey, because it can kill you .. because it can cause death by stroke, heart attack, seizure, ... whatever. Instead I am working with my physician to slowly taper off the drug. I'm day five into a 25% reduction, which in some cases is fast, but I agreed to try it. I've had mild insomnia and mild irritability. Besides this though I'm doing pretty good. Once I've kept at this 25% reduction for about 8 weeks I will try to reduce by another 25%. Seriously though, don't fuck around Benzos like Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, etc. This shit will fuck you up bro

Ledger did this in every scene. Every actor who shared a frame with him in this film describes the same thing. The interrogation room. Bale kept telling Ledger he didn't need to actually hit him. "It's going to look just as good if I don't." Ledger's answer: "Go on. Go on. Go on." Slammed himself into tiled walls hard enough to crack and dent them. Bale called the commitment "total." He refused to rehearse the full Joker. No voice, no laugh, no mannerisms until the camera rolled. Every scene partner walked into take one completely blind. The money throw at Chin Han was improvised. The hospital explosion was rehearsed a dozen times with Nolan until the timing looked accidental. The hostage video was shot by Ledger alone, handheld, no crew. Nolan used the footage because a professional setup couldn't replicate it. Ledger mapped every scene to a different technique. Improvisation when genuine shock mattered. Choreography when safety required precision. Solo footage when authenticity required zero audience. The most chaotic villain performance in superhero film history was built on surgical scene-by-scene preparation. The film made $1 billion. He won a posthumous Oscar, only the second actor in history to do so. He died six months before it opened. He was 28.
Movie Moments Analyst@Real_Moviescene

In The Dark Knight (2008), Heath Ledger improvised the throw where The Joker throws a stack of money at Lau during this scene. Actor Chin Han recalled, “It hit me square in the head... it goes like ‘boom.’” “And then I was dazed for a second. And that was the first take..”

🚨 Southampton statement after they fail in Spygate appeal... "Southampton Football Club has this evening been informed that the EFL’s League Arbitration Panel has upheld the sanctions imposed earlier this week. As a result, the club will not participate in Saturday’s Championship Play-Off Final. This is an extremely disappointing outcome for everybody connected with Southampton Football Club. We know how painful this moment will be for our supporters, players, staff, commercial partners and the wider community who have given so much backing to the team throughout the season and we apologise once again to everyone impacted by this. While we fully acknowledge the seriousness of this matter and the scrutiny that has followed, the club has consistently believed the original sporting sanction was disproportionate, a view that has been widely shared by many in the football community over the last 24 hours. We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to our supporters for the support, patience and loyalty they have shown throughout an incredibly difficult period. We will share information as soon as possible in relation to ticket refunds for those who bought tickets to Wembley. Southampton Football Club has a proud history and strong foundations, but it is clear that trust now needs to be rebuilt. That work begins immediately. The club will reflect carefully on the events that have led to this point, learn from them and take the necessary steps to move forward responsibly. While tonight is a painful moment, this football club will respond with humility, accountability and determination to put things right.

Legacy of the BRAVE! 🇺🇸 🦅 If you saw this man on the street, you’d probably think he was an accountant, a high school chemistry teacher, or an IT guy. You would never, in a million years, suspect that he is one of the most lethal men on the planet. Meet Sergeant Major Mike Vining. He didn't just serve in the U.S. military, he was one of the original, founding members of the elite 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (Delta Force). While Hollywood movies convince us that Tier-1 operators are always 6'4" covered in tattoos, and bursting with muscles, the reality of black-ops is entirely different. The most dangerous men are often the ones you don't even notice. In the special operations community, this is known as being a "Grey Man." Vining was a master of it. He was an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) expert, a sniper, and a highly trained covert operator. In this specific photo series, he was being deployed to Sudan by the CIA to train local forces in counter-terrorism. Because the local government wouldn't respect a standard Non-Commissioned Officer, the CIA simply issued him a diplomatic passport, slapped on a suit and those iconic glasses, and called him "Captain" Mike Vining. He walked right through international airports and hostile territories looking exactly like this, hiding an unparalleled set of deadly skills behind a completely ordinary disguise. Beware the quiet ones. They are usually the ones who write the history books.

Stan Boardman ffs, he made light hearted jokes about the Germans, very lightweight remarks and at 88 years of age faces cancel culture.🤬🤬 We need oneness erased from this stupid part of history. “Stan Boardman has spoken of his “upset” after being removed from the line-up of the Liverpool Book Festival at BOXPARK, where he had been due to appear on March 8 to discuss his autobiography. The 88-year-old comic, who many will remember from Opportunity Knocks, Through the Keyhole and even being surprised on This Is Your Life during the height of his fame in the 80s and 90s, was pulled from the billing following what organisers described in an email as “feedback from the public regarding past material that has been considered inappropriate or offensive.” Boardman, long known for his near-the-knuckle humour — including the infamous line that “the Germans bombed our chippy” — has reportedly been left confused by the decision. His son Paul, who co-wrote the memoir with him, said the family have contacted organisers directly. “We’ve written to them and asked, ‘How many emails? What was said and when was it sent? What was the context?’ We’d love to know that. “Given the fact Stan has been used to promote the event throughout, that’s the very least we could ask for. Then we can defend it. We can say, ‘OK, who is the person? Does it justify the decision? We don’t shy away from that at all in the book.’” Paul also addressed criticism of his father’s older material, saying: “Stan shows a lot of contrition regarding that saying he never would have thought he was hurting people and would never go out intentionally to hurt somebody’s feelings on stage. I think a lot of comics back then, a lot of people in the 70s, weren’t that educated about it.” He added that while his dad’s comedy pushed boundaries at times, it wasn’t as extreme as some suggest. “I was interested to know when I spoke to my dad about it when I interviewed him for the book. I said, ‘Look, how do you feel about some of the jokes?’ My dad wasn’t a Bernard Manning. He never used the n-word. “He wasn’t like that. OK, he would do jokes about the Germans, but we all know now that he’s got a good reason to have a little bit of fun at the Germans. It’s never in a nasty way. He loves German people. He spent national service there!” According to Paul, Stan appeared at the same event last year without issue, which makes this latest decision all the more surprising.”

🇬🇧Welcome to England🇬🇧 The Medieval Tradition, Atherstone Ball Game. The rules are simple, the ball gets thrown in the crowd, the winner is the team controlling the ball at 5pm, two hours after it starts. The sport has been going on for 800 years, older than most countries.

WTAF! Someone stop these nutters! "It's bizarre when you see it - it's so shocking most people just cannot believe what's going on," says Adam Faulkner. He has filmed countless vehicles driving up and down a river that is one of the world's rarest habitats, but is legally classed as an unclassified road. There are only about 260 chalk streams on the planet, but in one section of the River Meon in Hampshire you can expect to see motor vehicles driving along it. BBC article.
