Something cool about smell is that we can create entirely new scents that no one has experienced yet, but we can’t do that for other senses. You can’t imagine a new colour, for example. Any song you’ll ever hear is a combination of notes you’ve heard before.

@mixteluv @DrAllyLouks It's hard to communicate concepts between different senses but as a professional of sound for audiovisual I do have a good bit of practice in having to put these things into visual terms lol

@mixteluv @DrAllyLouks I believe she means that every sound can be deconstructed into a combinations of different frequencies that you heard before (20Hz-20kHz). In this case a "sound" would be more comparable to a complete image made of different individual colors (which you've seen before).
