I’ve finally decided to read the entire bible. So far, I’ve read Genesis and Exodus. I’m obviously really interested in reading the Gospels and New Testament. I’m debating skipping ahead to the Gospels. What do you recommend I do: Read the bible from front to back or skip ahead and read the Gospels (or entire New Testament) and then go back to the Old Testament.

@kaizen000000000 @havoc8593 You are mistaken. The Bible specifically says that God told them not to eat from the tree because the day they do, they will surely die. He said it in a way that is clear to understand whether you know the difference between good and evil or not.

You’re shifting from moral understanding to mere rule-following. Yes, they were told ‘don’t eat’ and given a consequence but being told a rule isn’t the same as understanding why breaking it is wrong. Without knowledge of good and evil, disobedience isn’t a moral failure, it’s just non-compliance. If they only knew ‘good’ as a default state, then ‘evil’ including disobedience had no conceptual meaning to them yet. So the command lacks moral weight; it’s just an instruction backed by a threat. And that matters, because accountability scales with understanding. The fact that shame and moral awareness only appear after eating suggests the very framework needed to judge the act wasn’t in place beforehand. So the issue isn’t a false dichotomy it’s whether moral responsibility can exist without the cognitive capacity to grasp moral opposites. If it can’t, then the setup still looks inconsistent.

So I work at a men’s divorce law firm, and I see this all the time. Guys get such a bad rap when they end up divorced, especially middle-aged with kids. People love to mock their appearance on dating apps or joke about “divorced dads” like it’s funny, but it’s honestly pretty cruel. These men have usually just gone through brutal battles.. in court, with their ex, financially drained, emotionally exhausted. Many have lost a ton of money, time with their kids, and their sense of stability. Now they’re trying to pick themselves back up, put themselves out there, and find someone who actually values them as a person.. something their ex maybe never did. It’s not desperate. It’s resilient. Starting over after divorce isn’t easy, especially when society acts like you’re damaged goods or a punchline just because you’re a middle-aged dad trying to date again. Cut them some slack. A little kindness and respect goes a long way when someone’s rebuilding their life. Respect to all the divorced dads out there grinding through it. You’re not alone ♥️

The controls in Crimson Desert are so so clunky, hopefully it’s just a console only thing and it gets fixed. My other complaint about the game is nothing about the story has grabbed me 10 hours in. The story isn’t even establishing key foundational stuff like who what where why, it’s just like here’s a bunch of side quests and maybe a revenge plot but your character is mad chill about it. Like if Sasuke had no urgency or emotion about finding Itachi. Just a chill guy who maybe wants revenge. But hopefully it picks up I know it’s a long game

The game of politics hasn't changed. The human motivations of flawed men who seek power haven't changed. The dominant financial power in the world hasn't changed. Why are you talking about radar? Radar doesn't control men in positions of leadership or guide the philosophy behind their decision making.

Counter-air for ships involved having destroyers stationed like 50 miles away from the main fleet to be used as early detection

@prototype_test @dave_nilra @onehandpolitics I think its easy to think of our current capabilities and apply it to WW2 but our early detection radar capabilities of that time were abyssmal comparatively. Shipborne radars had a max range of around 50 nautical miles while planes flew at 300mph minimum.
