@MarioNawfal @Alex_Oloyede2 Who started all these? First seized Venezuelan oil and then blockaded Cuba - in International waters? They are stealing oil from Syria and collecting money from Iraq oil sales? Who are the bad guys or the Pirates

@disclosetv @ashkairaa Did he not say previously that Iran and the USA should manage the strait; basically they share the toll. This is all about Control by the USA and Money, of course. USA will now charge for their services in policing the strait

JUST IN - Trump orders the U.S. Navy to blockade the Strait of Hormuz to "any and all ships trying to enter, or leave." Also instructing the U.S. Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in international waters that has paid a toll to Iran: "No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas."

@TheIranWatcher Because it shows that Iran was never a Regime but is a Coalition under the umbrella of the Supreme Leader... A much better government where the opposition matters and opposition can mean real disagreement

🚨 Why did the Islamic Republic send over 70 officials to Islamabad for negotiations? Because the regime is deeply fractured, with rival factions scrambling to control the outcome, block concessions, and use the negotiations to gain the upper hand domestically. And because they feel safer abroad, fearing assassination inside Iran even during a ceasefire, exposing deep paranoia and fear of enemy capabilities.
The Iran Watcher 🇮🇷 tweet media
The Iran Watcher 🇮🇷@TheIranWatcher

🚨 Deep rift inside Iran’s regime over U.S. negotiations! Senior officials are clashing over who will lead talks with the U.S. in Islamabad. ⚪️ IRGC chief Ahmad Vahidi is moving to limit the roles of Ghalibaf and Araghchi ⚪️ He is pushing to insert Zolghadr into the delegation, facing internal resistance ⚪️ IRGC figures are drawing red lines, refusing any talks on Iran’s missile program The IRGC is openly opposing negotiations over Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities, insisting Lebanon be included in any ceasefire deal and framing any compromise as capitulation. That divide is now spilling onto the streets, where regime supporters are calling out Ghalibaf for treachery. Tensions at the top are escalating. President Pezeshkian has already accused IRGC commanders of acting unilaterally, derailing ceasefire efforts, and pushing Iran toward catastrophe. In a post-Khamenei landscape marked by uncertainty around Mojtaba Khamenei’s condition and prolonged absence from public view, power is increasingly shifting toward full IRGC military control as internal fractures deepen within the Islamic Republic.

The Return Iran can start facing serious problems of its delegation after it refuses to accept the terms set by Trump and Netanyahu. How would the delegation even get out of Pakistan? A Pakistani escort wouldn’t make any difference, even if the plane reached Iranian airspace, it could be shot down as soon as it landed. And what would happen as a result? Nothing at all. This coalition has already normalized the assassination of leaders. There’s a high risk that the delegation could end up stuck in Pakistan for far longer than originally planned.

@worqas You are right! If they could go back 30 years, they could have given up enriching and concentrated on ballistic missiles... It has not been worth it and will continue to be a problem for them. They cannot make nukes anymore anyways

You either make a nuke or not make a nuke. If you're not making a nuke, then fuck it and give it all up, if you're making a nuke then make the fucking nuke. Iran keeps fucking itself for the "right" to enrich Uranium, which is meaningless.

Your Android phone’s storage is full. You delete photos, videos, apps. It’s still full. Because it’s not the visible files that are eating up your storage. Most of it is the HIDDEN junk that Android never tells you about. I cleaned mine yesterday and got 23GB back without deleting a single photo. Here’s how:

@davidnelson313 @Partisangirl @KoutureMag Iran cannot fight against all around them! They need to compromise and they have in many ways but Israel and USA are not that bothered except for capitulation and their hegemony and Israel's having no resistance and expansion. Iran is decimated - they have very little left...

Why so inflammatory? This has been an extremely complicated geopolitical puzzle for decades now which Iran in all its politics has put together better than anyone has ever seen. Yes the hard power is important (personally I’m almost as much of a hawk as you are right now) but you’re wrong to discount the soft power Iran has accrued from its restraint. Irans restraint is also killing the western narrative of ‘Muslims bad irrational incompetent terrorists’ etc. Without their mendacious narrative there is no empire. I agree the reformists need criticism but it’s strife-inducing to blame them for the supreme leader’s martyrdom. The US and the Zionist colony are guilty of it. Strategic patience was a policy of the Supreme Leader himself and paid enormous diva.

@BenFRubinstein Israel will raise the bar in terms of escalation - to bombing civilians just like they did in Gaza and now Lebanon. They do not need guided or sophisticated bombs if there are no effective air defences... War kills people

I'm not a military expert but perhaps a ceasefire buys Iran time to get a few things in order militarily. It's possible Iran can make better use of this time than the US or Israel. I can't think of any other logical reason for Iran to negotiate.

@Partisangirl So it is ok for the remnant of the Syrian government to sacrifice their people, infrastructure and future in the hope the USA will not turn them to dust? Please stop! They live to fight another day. Lebanon is already a huge cost for Iran - let the other Arab or Muslim nation...

A few days ago John Mearsheimer pointed out that time is on Iran’s side, that a protracted war was not in the US and Israel’s interests. So why ceasefire? Why give the US and Israel air?

@AngelicaOung One of the more sensible posts... It also showed that USA is slightly distancing from Israel. And Regime change is off the table. Iran is in a weak position - we shouldnt fool ourselves. Trump was getting as mad as Nethanyahu. Lives and critical infrastructure loss matters!

There's a lot of gnashing of teeth from Iranian nationalists and their partisans that Iran was "fooled again" or that the remaining leaders are too libbed out since the based ones all got taken out. I agree, obviously the US was not sincere in offering that ceasefire. But quite honestly, "getting fooled" or playing along with it in the moment was not a bad play for Iran. First of all, Trump was in a very dangerous and volatile moment. After the "Civilization ending" post he needed a way to climb down from such a dramatic moment. The ceasefire provided that. Of course, just hours later really, it fell apart because there's obviously no real agreement. But we are no longer in the dangerously heightened mood we were in just 24 hours ago. Importantly, the Iranians have not done anything irreversible. They haven't given up their uranium, or given up any missiles. They even still have Hormuz sewn up tight. Everything is more chaotic, but there hasn't been too much change of consequence. I don't think Iran is in a spectacularly worse position than before. However, if they can throw Rouhani, Pezeshkian, Zarif and friends into a bunker with no telecommunication to chill out for the rest of the war, that might just help out a lot with Iran's bid to keep its sovreignty.

@PKopylowicz @DanielLMcAdams The alternative is to lob a few missiles to Israel but get annihilated because Oran has lost their skies and Israel and USA will not run out of bombs any time soon. See what Israel is doing in Lebanon? escalation will only lead to Gazafication. They are fighting the devils!

If Iran sits down for a THIRD TIME with Witkoff and Kushner they deserve everything that's coming to them. Absolute MADNESS to tolerate those two monsters as the US negotiating team.

JUST IN - Trump expects peace talks with Iran to happen in Pakistan "very soon," but that Vance may not attend due to security concerns: "We’ll have Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, JD —maybe JD, I don’t know. There’s a question of safety, security." — NYP

Time was on Iran’s side. All it had to do was hold the line. Why did they agree to ceasefire, now Israel feels it can slaughter Beirut without repercussions. 5 desalination plants stood between Iran and absolute victory.

Today’s headlines don’t just report a KILLING — they celebrate how WELL it was done. Person is HUNTED down and KILLED. And the coverage focuses less on the killing — more on the brilliance of the system that made it possible. But killing a human being should never be treated like a technological achievement. @Tracking_Power The alternative is what? Total decimation like Gaza! They still have something to salvage for now! Until there are serious ways of stopping trump by his Congress and House or more dissenting voices from the West and its allies, then Iran has to play along. Iran cannot match them

@thatdayin1992 Did they run out of bombs or could Iran stop them totally decimating their power grid and water and everything else. Iran has done well to hold their own - pounding Israel with a few remaining missiles while most of them got intercepted is not having a upper hand

By accepting the ceasefire, Iran made the same mistake it did in the 12-day war. Iran just let the enemy go when they were weakened. They ran out of interceptors, but now they are going to rearm. Oil and gas prices were going up, but now they are coming down, and economic pressures are going to be lifted. The US/Zionistan are gonna rearm and regroup, get their oil ships, and bomb Iran again. Iran should've continued for at least one more month. I hope I'm wrong, and Iran gets what it wants, but the US/Zionistan's past behaviour tells me that is not going to happen, and they will not commit to any deal.
