I have been dreaming of this day for a long time. Arena is now a book publisher, and our first volume, "Silicon" is open for preorders. It's quite unlike anything you've seen: a coffee table book capturing the ecstatic beauty of silicon technology. arenamag.com/silicon

@1curiousgeorgey @samsheffer I stopped reading that site when they started having entire left leaning political articles and adding a pay wall to everything. Its supposed to be a tech site.

I’m moving to Tokyo as Head of Design for @WonderCanvas_AI. WonderCanvas represents the continuation of my work inventing new ways to help people tell stories for the last 12 years. In 2014, Mindshow made 3D animation accessible to anyone with a VR headset. MovieBot lowered the barrier even further. Today, WonderCanvas is the best way to create animation with AI. We use AI to empower humans and expand their creativity. Animation is about bringing dreams to life, and AI is incredibly good at it. WonderCanvas is already in use by some of the top anime creators and studios. You can sign up at WonderCanvas.ai. Let me know if you'd like to chat about it or have any Tokyo recommendations!

Thank you to @WAIFF_Japan for hosting us! Our founder Coco Nitta presented Kamik.ai & WonderCanvas.ai along side Nozomu Takahashi (Ghibli producer) + Taiki Sakurai as they discussed the future of anime production. We were honored to be apart of the World AI Film Festival in Kyoto this year. Without question, this was the most prestigious & high-profile gathering around gen AI ever held in Japan. A room filled with leaders from the anime & entertainment, and a large press presence. It was exciting seeing so many respected figures in Japan openly supporting and publicly associating themselves with AI. This was a real inflection point. A legitimizing moment for AI storytelling in Japan. Many of the industry leaders and AI-native creators were present to discuss together the future and how to create in the age of AI. A packed auditorium and a clear message throughout the event: the industry needs to move forward and stop being afraid to talk about AI. We witnessed everyone in the room looking around, seeing their peers, and collectively giving themselves permission to acknowledge the future. It was inspiring to see the finalists at this year’s WAIFF festival bravely share the results of their hard work as they pioneer the next frontier of animation. No major studios submitted films this year, but many were in attendance. And they are clearly paying attention. This new generation of AI-native directors and next-gen studios is showing the industry what’s now possible and helping pave the way for the future of anime. Keep going. You’re changing the world. Hopefully next year we’ll see submissions from some of the larger studios as well. If we keep this up, the Japanese anime industry will continue to thrive and lead the world in animated content and storytelling!

@cosmoscharf @OpenAI It... has issues. To pile on: no clear way to change thinking or pro reasoning levels. Also a pain going to a project folder and trying to change the model for a new chat in the project only for it to kick you out of the project. Feels abandoned.

the Codex app now has themes choose from some classics like Catppucin, Monokai, and Solarized. or try themes built with some partners from Linear, Notion, and OpenClaw among others. or make your own and share it this was a bit of a personal side quest that i’ve been thinking about for a long time. we’re doing themes a bit differently! a few notes:
