@brunoborges Fun fact, many unit tests are keeping lots of unnecessary code alive, because removing it causes a red bar and nobody questions the test.

I'm finding a lot of dead code just by asking Copilot to increase test coverage (JaCoCo) to 100%.

@manicode A hacker once typed with great flair. Expecting the system to share. But the AI stood tall, ignored every call, And then he left filled with despair.

A week in Crete with barely any Wi-Fi made me miss the days when phones were our music players. So I built one — a reactive MP3 player in #Java using #Quarkus + Mutiny, complete with metadata extraction. Streaming reimagined, the Java way. 🎧 Read here: buff.ly/C1MVsKa

Sign up for a free webinar with @trisha_gee and @costlow for June 19, they'll discuss ways of monitoring #Java across different environments to identify what runs or doesn’t run in each and identify what you can get rid of! azul.com/webinar/your-u…

Thank you so much @GeertjanW / @AzulSystems for the Duke Lego! I will have fun building it! I just didn’t find the instructions to build Duke. Where can I find it?

@brunoborges Crypto became popular during the pandemic because neither equities nor fixed income generated alpha. Crypto was a prayer for many investors. It's merely a commodity no different than pork bellies.

Anyone cheering the twitter dormitories/camps/ghettos is an absolute fucking moron and horrible person. If Twitter is still running in 6 months every tech co will start trying to do the same. There will be Ted talks and blogs and shitty biz speak books…

@carldea Oof that’s a bad move. Why wait a decade of ignoring it to turn it on only after its deprecated.

Solr 9.0 - Release notes. Solr now runs with the Java security manager enabled by default. Hadoop users may need to disable this. Does anyone know other popular frameworks still using the security manager?

@sampullara Part of today will be turning off the “microservices” bloatware. Less than 20% are actually needed for Twitter to work!
