@itsdeaann Maybe it wasn’t good content. Personally I am tired of all the “debates” between supposed experts. All the media wants now is fear and polarization. Nothing else. So maybe your debate sucked or they found a better one

I’m tired of just sitting on this info. 6 months ago CBS flew me out to DC for an in person debate over the Trump Administration, they paid for everything ranging from my travel expenses to a 4 person camera crew. The conversation was moderated by Maurice DuBois. As you could imagine, this debate didn’t go well for my MAGA opponent, and I was very effective at demonstrating the failures and wrongdoings of Trump & his administration, including things the mainstream media doesn’t want you to know. Coincidentally, it was filmed RIGHT before Bari Weiss took over. And in my opinion, it seems she canned the whole production to censor the truth. I have reached out to my contact at CBS multiple times over the course of the last 6 months to see what happened to the production, and haven’t gotten a response. @CBS, what’s going on???

@elibrooks0 They would be foolish to run Kamala again, and they won’t as she would have to win a primary this time. Plus will she be out of Betty Ford in time to run?

I spoke with a friend who has a creative agency specialising in corporate events. He was hiring for a creative director role and one of the final candidates was a 27 year old male who seemed perfect. The interview was going great and then he asked "do you have questions for us?" to which the candidate gave a big speech about the importance of his work life balance. He has projects and interests outside of work and doesn't want to be doing overtime. Given the nature of running events - they often run overtime - the candidate was immediately removed from the hiring process. From the leading candidate to not having a chance in a few sentences. It kind of blows me away that a 27yo male with no kids would take this approach. At 27 all I wanted to do was work and get ahead. I had a clear understanding that I had a window before starting a family to work my ass off and establish myself, and if I failed to do that, I'd pay dearly for decades. Is no one explaining the reality of life to these guys? This desire for work/life balance in his 20s is going to be the thing that makes his 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s a lot harder. Am I being too harsh? Is it reasonable for a 27yo to demand work/life balance from a creative agency that runs events? Is this next crop detached from reality?

Musk Slashes DOGE Savings Forecast By 85% | Thomas English, Daily Caller News Foundation Elon Musk announced Thursday that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is now targeting $150 billion in federal savings for fiscal year 2026 — dramatically scaling back earlier claims of slashing as much as $2 trillion. Musk initially projected DOGE would deliver $2 trillion in savings by targeting government waste, fraud and abuse. That figure was halved to $1 trillion earlier this year, but Musk walked it back again at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, saying the revised $150 billion projection will “result in better services for the American people” and ensure federal spending “in a way that is sensible and fair and good.” “I’m excited to announce we anticipate saving in FY ’26 from a reduction of waste and fraud a reduction of $150 billion dollars,” Musk said. “And some of it is just absurd, like, people getting unemployment insurance who haven’t been born yet. I mean, I think anyone can appreciate — I mean, come on, that’s just crazy.” The announcement marks the latest in a string of revised projections from Musk, who has become the face of President Donald Trump’s aggressive federal efficiency agenda. “Your people are fantastic,” the president responded. “In fact, hopefully they’ll stay around for the long haul. We’d like to keep as many as we can. They’re great — smart, sharp, finding things that nobody would have thought of.” Musk originally floated the $2 trillion figure during campaign appearances last fall. “I think we could do at least $2 trillion,” Musk said at the Madison Square Garden campaign rally in November. “At the end of the day, you’re being taxed — all government spending is taxation … Your money is being wasted, and the Department of Government Efficiency is going to fix that.” By January, he softened expectations to a “really quite achievable” $1 trillion target before downsizing that figure again this week. “Our goal is to reduce the deficit by a trillion dollars,” Musk told Fox News’ Bret Baier “Looked at in total federal spending, to drop the federal spending from $7 trillion to $6 trillion by eliminating waste, fraud and abuse … Which seems really quite achievable.” DOGE’s website, which tracks cost-saving initiatives and contract cancellations, currently calculates total federal savings at $150 billion. DOGE spokeswoman Amy Gleason did not, nor has ever, responded to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment. Read more: dailycaller.com/2025/04/11/elo…
