🚨KRYTEN UNMASKED🚨 I’ve been doing some research, and Kryten from Red Dwarf isn’t actually a robot. It’s a guy called Robert Llewellyn who is an actor! The BBC are laughing at us.

Loophole: @CountBinface’s outfits are typical business attire for his planet of origin, and any attempts to argue otherwise are blatant examples of planetary discrimination
caroline wheeler@cazjwheeler

Breaking: @CountBinface would not be able to sit in the House of Commons wearing his signature space-warrior costume in the unlikely event he wins the Clacton by-election against Nigel Farage, the @theipaper can reveal. The House of Commons operates under a mixture of standing orders, precedent and the Speaker’s authority, and MPs are expected to wear “business-like attire” in the Chamber. Parliamentary guidance says clothing should demonstrate respect for the House, and that uniforms, large slogan-bearing items and other forms of demonstrative dress are generally not considered in order. Members who show “flagrant disrespect” in their manner of dress can be asked to withdraw from the Chamber, and the Speaker may refuse to call them to speak.

I will accept Nigel Farage’s request to be appointed Steward and Bailiff of the Manor of Northstead. It is a farce and a desperate distraction, and the people of Clacton deserve better. But if he wants to spend the summer arguing with a bin, I won't stop him.

I can neither confirm nor deny that Robert Jenrick has asked to defect to the Count Binface Party. I can confirm that the answer's no.

Greens confirm they WONT stand a party candidate in Clacton. So far the by election has two candidates. @Nigel_Farage and @CountBinface

“Why not hold him to account?” Former MP @JustineGreening says it’s ‘depressing for democracy’ that the only choices for the Clacton by-election may end up being Nigel Farage and Count Binface.

@LukeThomsonLAB He's not going to lose to Count Binface, and I don't think the solution to the country's problems - or indeed Clacton's - is to elect joke candidates who aren't actually interested in being MPs, which is what most local voters will think

The Greens should stand against Nigel Farage in Clacton. They're the only major party willing to take on the substance of Farage. The other parties built up Farage by copying his toxic agenda. The Greens should use the by-election as a national platform to make that case.
